Exclusive leagues, Why do they fail on Server 1 and not on 2 and 3

Yusuf Pisan once explored the role of Leagues in Massively Multiplayer Online Games in this paper but failed to explore the role Exclusive Leagues play in the overall success of leagues compared to global diverse league.

What is very fascinating is that most exclusive leagues fail on server one but are very successful in server 2 and three on both Plarium.com and Facebook. Why is that?

Why do exclusive German leagues fail in Server 1, but are very successful in other servers? There are many leagues which were exclusive on server 1 of Plarium.com, but have continued to fail into the future. The likes of Bulkan Knights come to my thought. Why is that?

Let's have a productive discussion.

Also If you are in a successful exclusive league, whether it is an exclusive national, ethnic, or linguistic league, how did you succeed.

Not sure what exclusive leagues your talking about?

But my thoughts to why the top leagues don't bleed into all servers  is  the Time and Focus that is required to maintain a top league and to remain in their rank on a much larger server limits the crossover into other servers.

( At this time but then in time that could change)

Not everyone can maintain a watch on multiple leagues and the quagmire of intermixing of players that maybe in opposing leagues on other servers.

I think the biggest reason is most likely many find 1 to 2 castles  to be the limit what they can maintain and have a life outside of the game.

and  having a second helper castle on the same server makes more sense to most than starting over and dealing with a new environment with players that have no connection with the server they started playing on.

But then others  for various reasons have much more time can be found to be lured into leagues on other servers by their friends. ( Yeah you know who you are ! ) lol

But as far as whole premium leagues not completely dominating on all three servers  maybe it's a matter  of time or appearance if you look around  at those in top leagues between servers  while the names of the leagues are not the same  you will find blocks of various players in (Premium leagues) have migrated onto all three servers. And  could just be waiting for the right time make a splash.

That is a very good explanation of how exclusive server to server leagues fail. When server 2 was launched we decided to start an exclusive Emperors league on server 2. But that quickly failed for the above-mentioned reasons.

Even though over 70 Emperors players joined at the time, they quickly left as they found it very difficult to upkeep castles at both servers. So the whole thing failed.

There are also players who dominate the game from one game to the other, playing exclusively as a brand on multiple games. For example, Eve corporations would also play on Plarium. But they also fail for different reasons.

But why do you think is the reason why other types of exclusive leagues to fail. For example, We Are Romania, which was headed by our good friend Mark was not doing well for many years until they started recruiting outside Rome, and that region. After that, Mark managed to turn We Are Romania into a BG league, and held a dozen of beacons until the Beacon massacre event. Today We Are Romania is a very successful league.

But on server 2, We have Exclusive National leagues which become very successful. We have exclusive German leagues, Exclusive German leagues, and so on. And they are very successful. But this is not the case on server 1.

Could it be that the diversity and general atmosphere of serve 1 make it almost impossible to establish a successful exclusive league?

IMO with a linguistic/national exclusive league ( most)  players of a league would be in the same timezone , making the league vulnerable to attacks at times when leagues from other timezones are active  (i.e  German vs U.S ) .

To have a 24hrs-a-day coverage /protection it is smart politics to have diversity if you want to maintain a succesful league .

As always you will find some exceptions to the rule .

It does seem that a new Marshal with a very familiar name has arrived on the scene On the #1 league in server 1 so as I said while whole leagues may not be dominating  the cream does seem to rise to the top with individual power players. And some that follow him.

Similar cultures, time zones/activity, and a shared language make working together substantially easier (which is crucial for a league to be successful unless they just have one massive coiner driving everything by buying large amounts of troops).

As to why they fail on server 1, it could be because they have more difficulty interacting with the existing and entrenched leagues, and since the server has been around longer these leagues are more powerful and better able to squash new leagues that seem to be a threat to their position.
