Utter Discrimination

Plarium has chose to discriminate its server players again and went on to start a process of recruiting another Facebook moderator.

I was the last moderator from Plarium Stormfall, to come from the game. Ever since I and Brunson have left, Plarium has never ever recruited Plarium.com players to its moderator team.

We will have another Facebook moderator who has near-zero forum statistics and no experience.

Its unfair that the post was advertised on Facebook, and never here.

I will second this.

The whole point of player moderators is to break down the "us and them" divide. If people wielding the power are respected people from within the community then when the difficult decisions need to me made, at least it done by people who most feel are impartial, unbiased and respected.

If the moderator is an outsider that no one knows, you might as well not have player mods at all, there is no point. Just do CM's. It's just a complete stranger. No one will respect them being given powers over us, because no one knows anything about them.

On a side note it's not correct to say that all have been Facebook since you. For instance Wes plays .com Dark Plains and was appointed after you. But I wierdly all to often it's been ppl from outside the community (one time they literally had 0 posts).

And also you can guess who it will be if it's done from existing forum members, so you should be very very careful what you ask for - lol.

I guess it's an attempt to get someone on here from Facebook when flash goes bye bye.

There are more than enough mods already considering there are only about 10 posts a day.

There are many current forum participants who qualify. I won't mind having him as a forum moderator, but I think we need to have someone from Server two or three.

Whoever is chosen as a moderator must ensure that the forum activity is revived by promoting discussions. Its fairly easy to revive the forum. You just need someone who is dedicated.

The person who is chosen must become a bridge between the three servers. He must dedicate his time to increasing forum activity, and participation.

Dear Oracle, I'm afraid I have to ask you to look closer, again  Please check out this post and let me know if you still think there is any form of discrimination because I strongly disagree with you here, to my deep regret. Enjoy your day!

For the record I not only Play on plarium.com I also Play on facebook but I did not seek moderation position from Facebook interactions I saw a need and wanted to help on this forum to help get rid Of spammy ads and help players with problems  my duties later also expanded to include facebook page

Also Alina is absolutely Correct the Announcement for New Moderator Applicants was posted about a week ago in the forum announcements area.  Please in the future before making absolutely inflammatory remarks of intentional discrimination by Plarium have facts to support  your egregious claims. Or your post will be considered a violation of the rules as being made to incite a negative reaction.

Yeah, it's kinda funny how we all missed that.

I check Announcements pretty regularly.

Maybe it doesn't register to the eye because it's a closed thread.

That's because it is not a topic that requires comments all those interested can click on the link within the Notification to complete an application.

Yep, it's amazing what a few minutes of reading before making an angry post can solve :)

HI check the forum regularly, and I did search for the post, as my log will show. I didn't see it.

I apologize for not checking thoroughly.

Can you ensure that an exclusive Server 2 or Server 3 player on Plarium.com is appointed for the job. We need familiar faces that are not embroiled in server 1 politics and can make an accurate representation of the player base.

A player from server 2/3 will not only receive approval from the server, but he will also allow for activity as players are likely to interact positively with a player they are familiar with. Which might boost the forum activity.

I also want to know what sort of route or action is immediately available to forum participants with regard to  "people"  whose sole purpose is to follow around Forum participants endlessly complaining about comments ect, while making no effort to salvage the forum from endless spam or the near-death inactivity.

If there is a ticket we can fill, how do we go about filling it, which information should we include in the said ticket if we need urgent attention and ACTION.

Second question, do you still rate moderators according to contribution to the forum. If so, why don't you share such information with the community? I am asking this question because there are moderators who, I believe should be fired for making no contribution to the forum or otherwise victimizing forum participants.

Hello, Limad! No worries. We closed the comments because we wanted it to be an announcement without any offtopic comments. Wesley is right. Players can follow the link and fill in the form plus there is a possibility to ask any questions on the position there

FYI There already is a moderator that is on all three servers :)

Apologies accepted, Oracle. Thank you!

Regarding your questions... I'm afraid that the server isn't the crucial criteria for selection. But we'll definitely try to find a mod from Plarium.com. I totally agree that it might be important in some cases. Though I believe there are very good mods from Facebook that can help us out here and you won't even notice any difference - their replies will be brilliant  Replying to your second question, we check our moderators' work regularly, give them our feedback, point out strong and weak points and take corresponding measures if they are needed. However, we cannot share those results with the community since this is a personal matter and details cannot be disclosed. If you have any complaints, you can share them with me in PM or via the Support link. Cheers!
