hello Lord or Lady DEDE
power point is a units default stat/40
Default means original defense or offense stats without boosts/buffs/enhancers
pikeman offense 40/40= 1 power point
archer 19 defense ,so 19/40= ./475 power point
or a chimera has 900 default ofense ,so 900/40=22.5 so power point of a chimera is 22.5 and now about ur question
u kill a griffin ? a griffins defense is 587.5 so 587.5/40= 14.675 power point
answer to both ur questions... u calculate this way !!!!
Fury is 100% correct .... just divide base stats by 40 so one dragon is 42 power points (1680/40=42)
but for some insane reason power points in mareth quests etc are NOT power points .... they are the base stat points, so one archer = 19 power points, so your hamlet points are probably not genuine power points
Confusing, isn't it? LOLSomebody messed up and they never bothered to fix it
Great explanation Lord Fury , good job and well done !thankshello Lord or Lady DEDE

Yep it can be confusing, it's good though cause killing 56k power points for the weekly mareth quest could get expensive otherwise.Fury is 100% correct .... just divide base stats by 40 so one dragon is 42 power points (1680/40=42)

these changes happened when they made thing easier so everyone could get the rewards WHICH AS U MENTIONED IS A GOOD THING, in my idea too...colored it so people dnt start complaining about this one too
but one thing though, the weekly u mentioned dsnt have to be the units u have killed,so even if it was higher shouldnt have been a problem.a trip unit in a castle that gets the points also benefits the third party giving the points..
ah game is full of these small things and im sure every experienced player knows about them.we dnt say these just so others dnt start complaining about good things just because they have noticed something

So why not just divide 56k by 40 and do it right?
They don't expect us to kill 40x more units, they just used the wrong calculation throughout :)
Killing one archer does give 19 points - http://prntscr.com/s2h473

Hi, today I tried to use this calculator (def /40). Before attacking a hamlet I had 100129 points out of 150000 (target of the covenant is the battalion of Gwarheyvad). when I attacked I won and killed (they are four different suburbs). Here are the attack reports. https://prnt.sc/s3itxp, https://prnt.sc/s3iu7n, https://prnt.sc/s3iueh, https://prnt.sc/s3ium4. I preferred to put the reports because, if I had put the names of the units, with translate maybe there would have been some problem with the names. According to my accounts, I should have taken many power points, instead of 100129 I only reached 100425. Possible? Thanks for your help.
hello DEDE
ah defensive units power points are a little tricky... u need to take into account these tricky things too
offensive units have only one attribute, which is offense, for example a necromancers default or base offense is 900 ,its easy to calculate this.
900 divided by 40= 22.5 .so a necromancers power point is 22.5
now lets look at a defensive unit,u killed demons so ill go with this one
as u can see here unlike offense units which have only one designation attribute, defensive units have 4
a necromancer is an offense unit .u dnt see it having offense against infantry, cavalry, occult or bestiary .its just one ofense
but defensive units have 4 .defense against infantry, cavalry, occult and bestiary.. its possible that u just have divided each units highest attribute (in a demon's case, defense against occult) by 40 thats why uve come short in ur calculations
thats not how u do defense units
first u need to find its base or default stat !!!
a demons infantry and other defense stats are to be added so
(380+380+500+400)/4=415 415/40= 10.375
u were eager to learn so i explained everything even though it took some time
u were a nice player so ill give an advise from a pro player 4 free
these numbers, these facts, ur trying to figure out.sure its nice to know but it wont change one golden fact.u have to do these, even if u do or dnt know the numbers ...
you are trying to finish an achievement ? u will have to kill units to get them.sure u can try one or two levels with a few alts, but the rest will be 100 fold which can only be done with time...
just like tournaments, achievements have to be done, whether u do or dnt know exactly how many units u've got to kill,u have to kill and as u do achievements will finish..
as i said much earlier to another player think about it this way:
u have to walk few miles, does it really matter if u calculate how many steps u take ? u have to walk that distance whether u know exactly how many steps is required for this walk to be over or not ...
i wish u a good game experience,

Yes, I know, you wrote it in a post that I read :-) The point is: I had calculated the basic defense, but the accounts do not return. Anyway sorry for the time, you're right, no matter how long it takes, but I'd like to know that if I kill 1000 demons, for example, I complete the goal. The point is: in the screenshots, monster that I kill 25 demons + other unitis. We only consider the 25 demons. if you say that a demon has 41.5 power points, 41.5 * 25 = 1037 points, right? Well, then from 100129 I should have gone to 101129 right? (100129 + 1000 = 101129) Here, then, why did you give me only 296? (100425-100129 = 296) Is it a bug? how is it that he gave me about 1/4 of the points he was supposed to give me?
Thank you
If you want to reply, do it, but if you don't answer, I won't be offended, because I understand that writing these posts takes time and not many of us have to dedicate to the game.

That's not quite how it works. For defense units the game takes the average of the 4 defense stats, then calculates the power points based off that. So it would be (380+380+500+400)/4=415/40=10.hello DEDE

41.5 is a demons power point . do the defense units calculations this way

ah yes i just noticed,i know how it works as i put it in explanation part, just forgot to divide by 4 there.more of a mistype

Raids and sieges are slightly different. With raids the casualties i.e. units destroyed are determined by relative force alone - a simple calculation. With siege warfare - casualties are determined by relative force AND number - not so simple.
