Is the price increased in All currencies?

They just updated the exchange rates, the prices in USD haven't changed.  The game was previously using hardcoded exchange rates from like 2010.

Already far to expenxive for me as I live in South Africa and with the exchange rate at around 18 to 1 dollar I'm thinking of quiting this game now because as it stands it has become very much commercialised and a money making scheme on your part cheers good luck with your career prospects with the "Game"

sorry but the last increase is  just the last straw for me  8 years in this game but  now im retired from game, with how things are in the world this game way to expensive as it was and now just a  joke ??? been the  same  over the years just a cash cow for the owners nothing more

It is the fx rates.  They have to price the packages somehow, so they pick a price in one currency then the code uses the programmed in rates to convert it to the others.  USD is the world reserve currency so it make sense that's the one they'd pick.  

The problem is the strength of USD relative to other currencies has increased between when the game was created and now, but they hardcoded the rates, so effectively people using currencies other than USD were getting a discount compared to what they should be paying with the current rates (this is what the ARG thing exploited to get like a 90% discount).  Now that they've refreshed the fx rates the prices for non-USD currencies have updated to what they should have been relative to the base prices in USD.  

Hope this explanation clarifies things, although I know people from countries whose currencies aren't doing well will probably still be upset (the prices in some currencies have actually gone down due to the update, they were overpaying before).   I highly doubt they'll revert the fx rates to the outdated values, but maybe they'll lower the base overall or throw a bit extra in the packages or something, we'll have to wait and see.  

This is a virtual game...what do we really own....pixels?...so why the increases in price in a game that is shrinking...smart business is more purchases....more purchases are cheaper packages....ARG was nice...and the company sold alot of packages...yes at a cheaper rate...but many many many many many many more  and even people who dont spend money ..spent money

So we have some comfort that this won't be anthoer badly thought out update can a CM confirm how often the FX table will be updated going forward?

Pretty sure the Last couple of month is going to prove to be the absolute peak of USD - Fed raising interest rate higher and faster than other central banks and fear of global recession driving the usual flight to the USD . USD appreciated against every currency first half of this year - all of which is starting to reverse.

This is USD : GBP but the graph would show the same trend this year for pretty much any currency you choose to pick.

If you don't adjust the FX rates regularly - then effect will be to lock everyone into the worst pricing possible for ever.

For now, we don't have any information concerning price increases in the nearest future. If something is changed, we will inform all players beforehand. 

So reading between the lines - it's a one time update to the FX table. That FX rates have moved significantly since you made the update and therefore your prices are completely out of date already, is of no interest to anyone.

I can tell you what that means to me personally. Champs pass at £5 (where was before) I would probably fund one account. At £2/3 I would fund multiple accounts (probably 10 accounts). As it stands at £8.99 I refuse to spend anything with Plarium at all.
