Yep, this happened to me on one server

Keep using your maxed out champions to kill undead and basic bonds will drop (around 7% drop rate)

Never sacrifice champions if they are level one, always upgrade them for xp during tournaments, but do not use xp boosts if you have plenty of clicks available

Use geists from tower whenever possible and save your champions

Participate in league tower event and hope your league reach higher floors for free bonds too (plus other rewards)

I quickly got back to having too many bonds - we can only store 100

You can get a free scroll every couple of days (or more frequently, depending on how long you can spend on the game each day) by using one of your upgraded champs. Say your highest attack level is 7356, then each day just keeping using your 10 sends to level 13. A scroll should drop every 12-15 hits (in my experience, though it does vary.) Slow going, for sure, but pretty soon you should have a few scrolls to use and try get back on track a bit.
