Hello!
And if devs add new Levels to Town Hall players will need even more Resources and time to upgrade it.
That's why it doesn't get new Levels. But as Levels for Military Buildings were increased, they affected Town Hall as well.
Why?
Alina where are you ? Wanna forward devs to make a new decision ? With 20lvl townhall it will take forever to get military buildings to 25 lvl since it already takes months just to upgrade below 20 for 1 occult/bestiary building LOL.Yeah it is pretty annoying that by the time the game lets you upgrade town hall past level 20 you've already got a lot of the other upgrades done. It could be worse though, in total domination you have to also upgrade the alter of mara to max level before upgrading town hall.
Other than the troop buildings, I'd think most players would have the other stuff upgraded to level 20 anyways. And the troop buildings are the only ones that need to be level 25.Alina Phoenix said:

Even requiring level 20 ensured that most new players will never upgrade their Town hall past 20. Now that level 25 is required, if your Town Hall isn't at 22 right now, it NEVER WILL BE.
Hello!
The requirements for upgrading Town Hall to Level 21 remained the same:
You need to upgrade Resource Buildings to level 20. It hasn't been changed.

No one is talking about the resource buildings, Alina. We're talking about the troop buildings. Hall of Shadows already takes more than a year to upgrade from level 1 to level 20 when the Town Hall is at level 20. This is the same for the Council of Mages.
Now, the Hall of Shadows must be upgraded to level 25 (along with the other 3 troop buildings) before the Town Hall can be upgraded past level 20.
So, if your Town Hall is not yet 21 or 22, it never will be. The whole point of upgrading the Town Hall to 22 was to get the extra 30% construction bonus, which greatly helps when upgrading long construction time buildings.
On Facebook, I had my Town Hall at level 22 before the troop experience feature came out, so getting the troop buildings to level 20 only took a few months. Here on Plarium, I was not as fortunate. It took more than a year. With so much time being invested, I rarely needed to buy sketches.
Plarium may have actually lost money on this update. Within a given time frame, the longer it takes to construct a building, fewer sketches are needed, which only leads to fewer sketches being purchased.
bump !!!
"TownHall upgrade requirements"...only reason for this update is pure greed or incompetence of people who have done this senseless job.
devs thoughts "if we get rid of regular players more coiners will come"
player thoughts "if greed > game expirience i should look over for new game"
coiner thoughts "more money i spend on this game less ppl on server...coincident ?...nvm ill solo
my thoughts "so many AAA games on market with so much less money to pay to enjoy the content...and im still here...
Try scrolling down ;) There's like 2 more pages of requirements below those.Hello!

It actually doesn't make as much of a difference as you'd think though. Level 20 gives a 50% boost to building speed, so you build at 150% regular speed, and a building takes 66% the normal amount of time to complete. Level 22 increases that to 180%, which means a building takes 55% the normal amount of time to complete.Alina Phoenix said:

The sooner a player upgrades their Town Hall to 22, the faster they will go through sketches afterwards.
I have found myself doing that more of late, as I'm just not motivated to be in SF like I used to be. I'm still in SF some, though. Its winter time and I live on the Southeast US coast. No slopes or surf. I could kayak, but I want to wait 'til summer to get back into it. So, its only a matter of time before I 'boot up' another of my games out of sheer boredom. If its a RTS, TBS, or RPG, I may keep checking on SF. If its a FPS, I'll probably forget that SF exists. If its an MMORPG, I'll probably forget that TVs and books exist. Its happened before.jrg said:

Spot on.
The exploitative model being followed by the MMO industry has been great at maximising short term profits for a while, no doubt about that. But ultimately it leaves customers feeling abused and used, definitely not happy. You fall for it once, maybe twice but you don't continually.
Sad thing is you don't have a lot of choice because pretty much every developer out there is chasing the fast buck and ludicrously monitising their products to death in a micro transactions frenzy. So its not like you can simply avoid the bad games.
The result for MMO is people just play AAA, that pretty much sums up where my whole league and myself are currently at (and that is some people who were pretty hardcore stormfall players at one point).
And tbh some of the AAA with loot boxes etc are taking the mikey with the result that you just watch more TV, movies or read. They are in the end in competition with other forms of entertainment not just each other. I think they forget that sometimes, people really do have a lot more choices.
With some major developers stock prices tumbling atm though as a result, we will finally see some change because the people that run these companies are finally being hit where it hurts.... in their bonuses and stock options. Games industry is "having a wake up" moment.

TH = 22....took me only a few months to max my troop buildings to 20. TH = 20....took me more than a year to take the troop buildings to 20. In both cases, I had 4 craftsmen.
and ppl alrdy got 21,22nd lvl before patch will be in unfair adventage for a 1 or 2 ,3 yrs(time and money (im not sure probly 30-50k sketches will be needed) you need to spend for upgrading all miltary buildings to lvl 25)...
and asking again why devs wasnt created lvl 23,24,25th lvl of townhall with new requirements like they did with other buildings?
