I don't EVER remember getting a full payout that didn't include an off and a def unit. If I get a big dem payout there was always a Necro or Warlock or last night I had a payout of Griffins and not one dragon or Wyvern? Again this was after a LARGE expenditure of off units and when I was tired of just donating units I hit 1 def BG and.... boom! So is anyone else having this 1 unit payout issue" and also are you getting ONLY def BG payouts?

I brought it to my VIP and he said well if you are looking for or expecting a full payout you should be hitting Off BG's ;) I said thank you but I think you missed the point that there doesn't seem to be ANY way to win anything offensively after donating a large amount of Off units...I was not very happy with his answer to say the least!

I bg'd many castles and in one case a castle that was bg'd for strictly offense would no longer pay offense, i took a couple defense payouts on it, today i bg'd it again after leaving it alone for a long time, i got a split payout on defense about 2k necros and 8k golems and hit the next offense payout and got an offense payout of 14k necros - i am not absolutely sure that they are skewed to encourage playing both sides or not but this is what it seems to me (I do not play the highest level bg i stay in the mid range levels around level 100 give or take 10 levels)

For the past 3 years, I've gotten offense from reds and defense from greens without fail, no matter what I send.  My payouts have also been very consistent.  I've not noticed any reduction or increase in payouts over that time.

The ONLY difference I've noticed in BGs over the years is that 99% of BGs over level 10 always gives a payout, even if its only 1 unit, whereas prior to an update 2-3 years ago, no payout was given unless the minimum payout was triggered.

There was an update not long after that one that allowed some sent units to return even if the BG wasn't defeated, but that update was reversed very quickly (thankfully) after many complaints.

I usually alternate between reds and greens, so perhaps that is why I've never experienced the no O payout on reds.   I suspect that hitting a few greens as Jezebel did will fix your bank.

Thanks to those of you that are sending in replys. Maybe I am not expressing it correctly? Wouldn't be the first time....;)  but the main issue I am having is that I am getting (what I view) as "partial payouts" on a FULL payout. Let me explain.... What I mean is if I am hitting a Defensive BG and get a full payout I am not getting ANY offensive units. Typically I hit (75-110....I have tried all the way to the top but this seems to work best for me). But whenever you get a full payout on a def BG (green) you get a split payout with a greater weight in def units. Depending on what level either demons/golems or higher level Griff's and then you would get a smaller number of Offensive units....again depending on the level . So either warlocks/Necros or higher dragons and wyverns. 

But lately when I get ANY FULL payout I only get one type of unit....NO split! So if I am hitting an Offensive BG and get a payout of 10k Necros (that's great) but ZERO def units. Then vica vera if I hit a defensive bg and get a FULL def payout I am ONLY getting defensive units and ZERO offensive units. Not to mention it seems (to me) ALMOST impossible to get an offensive payout....they all seem slanted towards the def Bgs for payouts? So that is my main issue. That with VERY few exceptions my FULL payouts are only 1 unit not the "typical" or traditional "split" of offensive and defensive units?? I have had a couple VERY nice hits in defensive bg's recently and got a nice amount of def units...but then I was expecting a small off payout as well and....NADA.
