its just a random draw on who you get.  Starts off in what what league your in like Bronze, silver, gold

if you win all 4 your league then moves to are higher ranked pool.

other then that most of the info of the event.

Its more of a fun event for smaller leagues that are active.

other then that the rewards are Junk

the event is flawed.

and came out way to late for it to have any meaning

now if you want your cake  ----->

 here you go.

because the event is worth about as much as the emoji their.

That's correct.  So you should be assigned to fight other leagues in the same tier as yours (although they may have significantly more members, tiers seem to be based entirely on performance in previous duels not on member count or achievements).

troop loss vs rewards in the duels is not worth the effort unless another tournament is running at the same time (ie: bg or pvp tourney)

for some its important to stroke their ego by always being in the top ranks but is it really worth it??? :))

Hello, Lords and Ladies! Strength is in unity. It's not only a gameplay feature but also a mechanics based on real-life historical wars. The more Lords are united in the coalition - the more troops and the more chances to win a war. As we know from history, vast empires always had advantages over smaller kingdoms.  So extend your League to not afraid other Leagues.

I hope that wasn't supposed to be inspirational for the thread starter. You basically underlined what his issue is... If you big, you will cream smaller ones.

From my experience across the servers in Facebook and here, including the chatter I've heard on league and alliance pages, most leagues do not want Plarium forcing them into blind pvp.   None of the leagues I've been in, nor their alliances, actually participate in pvp against the league they're in the duel with.  They refuse on principal.   If not for the points achievable through pvp with any league other than your opponent, or for BGs, I doubt more than 1% of active leagues would even try to participate in the tourney.

This is supposed to be a duel, not a war.  Your analogy makes zero sense.  Wars usually occur between enemies, not friends and allies.  Neutral parties don't usually go to war either unless one of them has a very good reason to do so, which does NOT exist in the SF's duel tournaments.  The rewards simply are not worth the effort.

A duel, at least in gaming terms, is generally a friendly fight where no one 'dies'.   A duel in SF actually kills troops.  Its not simulated.  Therefore, these tournaments are not actually duels, but pvp forced between leagues at the whim of Plarium.

Plarium likes to keep everyone aware that they're in charge by telling marshals how to run their 'bought and paid for' leagues and by telling leagues who they're going to fight and when they're going to fight.  They also ignore 99% of the player base by refusing to get rid of hamlets and bringing back settlements....because they're in charge and we need to understand that.

Many of us on the facebook server 1 never fight our duel partner during these tournaments because it also gives the double points to the dueling league if we was to attack them, instead we attack our enemies as normal for this 1 and also play bg to get the points

Duels are for the strongest leagues, and for the weakest leagues ... everyone in between will struggle

Stronger Leagues will find it all too easy, they can afford to lose thousands of units and their ranks are filled with big bg hitters

Weak Leagues also find it easy because they are pitted against other weak leagues so all they need to do is hit a few battlegrounds and send a couple of firebombs to get the points

Most 'normal' leagues will need to choose carefully which Duels to ignore, and in which Duels to compete
Attempting to win every Duel is a losing strategy for most, mainly because they do not want to be promoted to the next Tier

The big problem with Duels is the appalling rewards and huge costs involved to reach the personal milestones
