I think the point is you should not receive a quest you cannot complete without spending saphs/money
Not all Quests are easy to complete, Lady Jezebel.
Some of them are added on purpose to motivate players to develop their Castles faster. The same situation is with this Quest, Lord Alik needs to focus on discovering Runic Blade Art to be able to train Warlocks as soon as possible.

Most players discover lost arts without thinking to save scrolls to help others so if we get 1 scroll per day then it will take him as many days as scrolls needed to discover it - usually longer because there is always one scroll that is difficult to get - that quest should not appear until he has discovered it - not all leagues have scroll keepers who amass extra scrolls to help players discover lost arts - the reduction in game activity makes it even harder
Not all Leagues have Scroll Keepers, you're right. But he still can ask his League members for help in getting the required Scroll.Alina Phoenix said:

just like everything in this game things are geared towards spending money or not moving forward or achieving in game tasks that should not cost saphs/money
You are missing the point these daily activities are small victories that players log in to complete for small rewards - it keeps people interested in doing SOMETHING in the game - if you make these too difficult or impossible to complete you will see a reduction in game activityJezebel said:Not all Leagues have Scroll Keepers, you're right. just like everything in this game things are geared towards spending money or not moving forward or achieving in game tasks that should not cost saphs/moneyOnce again, Quests are not meant to be easy to complete. At least some of them should have a challenging part. If everything is so easy to be completed, there will be no interest in the game at all.
That's why the majority of these Quests are easy to complete :)Alina Phoenix said:You are missing the point these daily activities are small victories that players log in to complete for small rewards - it keeps people interested in doing SOMETHING in the game - if you make these too difficult or impossible to complete you will see a reduction in game activityJezebel said:Not all Leagues have Scroll Keepers, you're right. Yeah there are plenty of things in the game that are challenging already, I'd think it couldn't hurt to give new players daily quests that are all fairly easy to get them started in the game. It's not like the rewards from the daily quests are so great that it's going to affect the game balance any.Alina Phoenix said:not for the players who actually would benefit the most from achieving themJezebel said:That's why the majority of these Quests are easy to complete :)Alina Phoenix said:You are missing the point these daily activities are small victories that players log in to complete for small rewards - it keeps people interested in doing SOMETHING in the game - if you make these too difficult or impossible to complete you will see a reduction in game activityJezebel said:Not all Leagues have Scroll Keepers, you're right. I don't say devs set these Quests as they're afraid Rewards will break the balance. As I said, the main reason is to motivate players upgrade their Castles faster and open features that will help to complete Quests.
Plus, in this case, units purchased at the Market will close the Quest as well. So, this Quest is not one players can't complete at all.
so lower level players should spend hard earned saphs to build warlocks rather than save them for something better like fortifications? How hard would it really be for Devs to have a quest for players below level 60 to build knights or great lords or even just cavalry units so they could build what they have already discovered?BiohazarD said:
