The more tickets you have the bigger chance you have to win, but somone with just one ticket could win as well, its called luck.
That means I will lose because I have no luck. :( 
The winner is chosen randomly. But here's something else to keep in mind: Try finding the cost of each ticket * the number of tickets in the drawing, then compare it to the actual value of the items in the prize. The prize is usually less than the cost of all the tickets, meaning each time you buy a ticket on average it's a net loss for you (this is true for just about any lottery, but still good to keep in mind).

Not true.. because. as with lotteries else. someone with one ticket can win just as someone with 100 tickets, he just got a fraction less chance to do so, it all come down to luck.
Actually, buy no tickets to win. Every ticket you buy is on average a loss of value. If you take the total value of the rewards and divide by the number of tickets, that gives you the average value of one ticket. Then look at the cost of the ticket. This cost is nearly always more than the actual value of the ticket. So every time you buy a ticket you're losing some value. And that's not even considering that most of the stuff you win from the drawings can be bought at a discount at certain times from the market, so the real value of those items is lower than the posted value assuming you have a little patience.Buy multiple tickets to win.

But the so called 'random' factor is not random at all.
It all depends on when you buy tickets and how.
on both wins i bought 10 tickets, or 1k sapphires. Won the standard on s1, then de express on s2
I was a mod then, last package i bought was 330$ 6-8 months before i became mod. Didn't spend my money for the ticket, was a mod.
