hmmm...i just fell for the 50% off improvements scam...silly me..i could submit a ticket but i have never heard of anyone in two years actually getting their men, or sapphires or whatever back, so i wont waste my effing time.

These happened to me recently.
Sorry for your bad experience. The thing is the discount for the decorative buildings is not applied to the active defensive constructions (the ones which can be destroyed by hostile attacks) and the repair Summoner. Now it is visually reflected above them.
Currently, our developers are trying to fix it. Just as you I am keen to see this matter fixed in the nearest time.
Meanwhile you can send a ticket to support. They gave me 50% back as a refund. Maybe they might to you too
