Well said brunson, along with gadhera's statement about adding money to plarium's wallet.kristerfer.blaylock said:whats the pointThere are several points to the game: grow better troops, improve your castle, make friends and enemies, learn strategy and Diplomacy. All of these combined make for a stress relief from the real world.

i disagree, the game model is resource sink, when a new player asks a question of gameplay and they get told that there are points other than that, the responsibility of wasting that persons money, time and effort falls upon those giving the advice. a player doesn't start seeing the futility of the game until 6 months in. the encouragement by leagues hyping the game model doesn't help.
improve castle takes real life money unless you are in a league that spends alot of money, then you can get some sapphires from league quests.
the point of the game is to spend money and then sink the resources, buy back the resources you do not want to sink. you cannot build your castle walls without sapphires. the point of all money, time and effort in this game is to sink it.
raid mechanic: combines both army powers and splits the losses for a 1/1 kdr power with the winner losing extra the more they overwhelm. the siege mechanic if you defend yourself you cannot overwhelm during a pvp tournament or you will not get points.
so if you play: join a coiner league, build only offense and siege. be careful sieging an active castle, if you leave your offense too long they can counter attack you which then puts you at a disadvantage creating a penalty in which at even power, such as, 100 dragons attacking 100 dragons, you being on defense on a siege you will lose 90 dragons and the attacker will lose 10.
so the game is full of manipulations of numbers and outcomes, constantly hindered (not as bad as nords tho, nords is terribly hamstrung), and the point is resource sink.
hope this helps
if you don't spend alot of money and attack for pvp don't play; if you still want to play stay away from battlegrounds, yes you will be superman for the first 6 to 8 levels during the first weekend. after that a switch gets flipped and you are toast.
if none of this sounds good, the game will create stress not releive it.
cheers
