Strange!! The only explanation is that somehow your IP address shows you being in China. If you are not then perhaps your system has been compromised.

If you get this message again open your browser and check your IP location, a google search for IP location will help. If it shows as China etc. then you need to clean out your system. Otherwise your installation of the app itself has been compromised in which case remove and re-install a clean copy.

Making trying to getting help or at the very least making plaruim aware of this major issue so it could be fixed  a fustrating endeavor  since it becomes next to impossible to use the site

Are you playing on a corporate network?  It's possible they route all their network traffic through a foreign server.
