There is no such unit as Predator in the game. Could you please attach a screenshot of the battle report with the unit displayed?

Yeah I'm not sure what predator you're referring to, but it sounds like you're talking about the legendary unit that allows for free troop revivals when supporting units are lost in battle.  Please keep in mind that you only get free revivals for lost units that are under the stack of units supported.

Here's an example:  Lets say you send 1 legendary with 100 dragons but your legendary only has a capacity of 20 units, then in the battle you lose 30 dragons.  Only 20% of those 30 dragons would be the units covered by the legendary, so you'd be able to revive 6 (20*0.3) occult units.

If you take very few losses it's possible that none of them were in the unit stack covered by the legendary.  As Pavel said, a screenshot would help us figure out what happened.
