Just Deserts
Safe to say that The Rebels have more than made an impression in the Dark Plains. And if a single player is responsible for such a huge level of animus directed at a league, one must wonder at his management style that creates such loyalty.
At any rate, The Rebels rained hellfire on Anarchy’s beacons on Easter Monday in 2017. They spied all five of Anarchy beacons AND their fortress (with Anarchy’s management off-line... tough luck). {Fellowship} was locked and loaded with just seven suicide attacks. Sister leagues {Fellowship} of DaM and {{Fellowship}} contributed about seven more and of course The Rebels themselves sent plenty of slaughter hits. And slaughtered they were... in the interest of saving as much of the hammer as possible:

That was Anarchy’s largest beacon according to the spy reports. Over the course of the next four hours, Anarchy would lose all five of their beacons and their fortress (courtesy of KT):

You tell me: How much defense does Anarchy have left? Here is what I think:
Anarchy’s first reaction was that a lot of offense had been “wasted.” Next they pointed out that several leagues had been involved in the take-down.
I wonder why so many leagues would plan for such a long time to take Anarchy down? I wonder why it was felt that such careful planning and coordination was necessary? It has been a long time coming. Anarchy players hide their alts in all the major leagues and possibly a large number of other beacon-holding leagues. They wait for orders to vacate a beacon for it to be dropped to another league, then go take cheap points from a poorly-defended beacon. Anarchy has stuck its nose into many such transactions, though not so much lately. All the major leagues have demoted most of their players to Soldier rank, where they cannot see beacon defense except their own. Those leagues also now message players individually to move units out of beacons. If leadership suspects a castle is a spy... guess what?... that defense dies. I have personally messaged a suspected spy in my league to pull units from a beacon, but only when I knew the friendly league's offense was on the way to take the beacon.
Once and for all, I call upon Plarium to block access to beacon statistics for all but the ranks selected by the Marshall. In fact, the Soldier rank should not see even a listing of the other players on a beacon. If a soldier wishes to advance in rank, she should make her accomplishments apparent to leadership to earn a better rank. Alts will then flush themselves out of the leagues and go wherever they really belong... or quit and be my raid target. Just be sure to make a lot of units & put them in your catacombs before you quit so I don’t get so much food.
My last word on the subject: If you belong to Anarchy league, consult a dictionary on the meaning of the word “anarchy” and ask yourself: “Even if this IS a War Game, is this the kind of experience I am looking for on this game?”
