How to grow a coaltion on server 2 without being friend of Best Squad?

Hello Community, I am hegemon of the Phoenix coalition on server 2. For me it is annoying that we are not able to grow our capital or capture a pan, because of some real huge armies, especially from Best Squad players, which tend to raid anything on this server apart of some buddies. If somebody like POP is coming and is raiding our capital just for fun with 200+ millions, we (and most of the other coalitions) will not be able to make any advance until we have 300 millions defense or something like this. And this will take far more than one year. It is very frustrating. Suggestions?

Have you tried negotiating with them?

Well all i can say is grow up your coalition, to be honest, 300 mil is not much, a coalition with 120 active members with 3 mil def each,  can overcome the 300 mil def goal easily...

Make your own strategy, keeping in mind that the aggressor loses much more in attacking a capital than a pantheon, assuming that both have the same number of defenses.

@Aloyna Yes of course i tried to negotiate. No reply.

@Blah We don`t want knee pads. It is just about amateur vs champions league. We want somehow fair "rules of engagement" - no despotism :-)

@Nuno Paiva Yes of course it is possible to raise an army strong enough to fight even the best players. But to get 120 active member is difficult on server 2, because there is a lack of players. And I think our performance is not that bad. Even than it will take a lot of time. And to know, we will not be able to make this efforts in a couple of month by just playing the game and doing a good job is the frustrating thing. At pans you get up to 25% defensive bonus. Why should defense in the capital inflict more losses?

Archill, all i know is from my game experience...

The calculations of all fights in Cap, are different.

I do not know the formula used to do the calculations, all i know is that the gap is very high, like 5:1 or something like that ...

I think Capitals were made for small coalitions have a small chance against big coalitions.

Maybe other players have more information, have studied this aspect of the game and want to share that knowledge with us.

In reply to Achill's post, Best Squad is playing the game using strategy that was worked on from the start of this game.

We do what is required to move our coalition forward by gaining whatever achievements we can, or need. It is a war game, after all.

To the best of my knowledge,I have never received any messages whatsoever from Hegemon Archill and neither have my Polemarches or Ambassadors, so it would be good to get all facts straight first.

Best Squad Strategy - spend a fortune way beyond any normal activity by 3-4 players, bully all the other coals who have not spent anywhere near that much money.   take those three bullies out of that coal and you are an average coal just like anyone else.

everyone that is strategy for you. you all need to learn to play this way.  pay to win.

I sit here, and wish I had some of your fairy dust, Nuno, or enough cash to buy some of your "strategy", Bernice.

I fantasize, Bernice, that you have a grand hidden agenda, unknown to the groveling masses. I imagine that you and a few rich investors have siezed server 2, and are holding it hostage, preventing its growth by killing anything that moves, and Plarium, realizing its loss in future revenue, will enter into negotiations, to buy it back from you....or maybe, you guys just like hurting small animals..

Nuno, please...it is enough that we are coiner food, at least make the carrot you dangle a real one, and not a child's crayon drawing of one.

Server 2 is useless.  Nobody can grow on server 2 that is a fact.  You have one coalition that dictates the entire server and even when 10-20 coalitions ban together they cannot kill off the never ending supply of troops that that coalition produces. It is truly uncanny. I've never seen anything like it and not even on server 1.

I collect my resources, and my troops auto hide with my upgraded acropolis and that's it. I spent a few hundred bucks and lost everything in 5 minutes with those guys. It was the last I ever spent with plarium. I've even asked for the city to be deleted and not farmed but we all know that plarium laughed at me.  Claim they can't delete accounts but yet they created pools in server 1.

We do not delete Cities. That's our policy. Some Cities can be replaced with Pools, but if they log in again, they will appear on the same spot (Or some other vacant spot). Vacant lots are added by a special algorithm, and we do not convert Cities into Lots manually or by player demand.

Unfortunately, you can only delete your plarium.com account. But your City will still remain on the Map.

Alyona and Nuno.

1) Without non-coiners, coiners will have to compete against one anothers credit cards.

2) The non-coiners feel that the game is strongly skewed in favour of coiners.

3) I feel that as representatives of Plarium, you are avoiding answers to valid questions.

Would you be so kind as to comment on all 3 points listed above?

1) Only p2p games have solely players, who use in-app purchases. In all other games there are always those, who use them, and those, who use them not :)

2) Some players decide in favor of in-app purchases to save time. It allows them to progress a little faster. Sparta: War of Empires is free-to-play, and like any other game of this type it gives all players free access to all game features and an opportunity to accelerate their progress with in-app purchases. It is not unfair that players taking this route, thus supporting the development of the game, enjoy certain advantages. Again, all these advantages may be summarized in one word - time. It takes less time to advance, but does not change the core of what every player needs to do to develop their City and grow military power. Moreover, there is a number of in-game limits so no one player can dominate an entire server. Therefore, when we develop a new feature, we make sure it will not negatively affect the game balance.

Also, we shouldn't forget that everyone can get Drachmas for free simply playing the game actively, i.e. participating in Tournaments, capturing Emporia, completing quests and Achievements, etc.

3) In some cases we are unable to share certain information. Like when players are asking about PPs mechanics. However, we always try to give our players as much information as possible regarding their issues.

Hi  Alyona.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my post in the manner in which you did.

I cannot agree with all of your responses, however, I am greatly relieved to know exacly where I stand, in the "food chain", so to speak.

As the old saying goes, "You can make some of the people happy some of the time, but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time"

None of the above (or what follows) detracts from the fact, that I honestly appreciate the fact that you afforded me the courtesy of a well framed response.

After re-examining the many posts regarding the coiner VS non-coiner saga, I have realized a critical factor that  I have overlooked, and that factor is merely "scale".

I imagine the "shock and awe" that I feel when squaring up against a "Level 90" coiner, would be much the same feeling that a bunch of "noobs" in a nobody coalition would have, if a level 60 non-coiner came prowling, and indeed, this is to be my new strategy.

With just a few pools of fidelity, I can roam freely on the map, seeking out those smaller than me, and killing them, and best of all, it won't cost a fraction of what the coiners are spending.

Some might call this bullying, but hey, you know what they say...."all's fair in love and war"

while most of what you say is true you do not look at what Solomon said and that is scale, yes you can get drachmas by playing the game but what you can get pales to nothing compared to a $330 package with 130k in drachmas in it and if you calculate dollar to drachmas the ratio on the packages work out the same, the troops have some value and the rest of it junk you cannot use if you have reached a certain level, gps waste of time, domino points waste of time my dominion is activated for the next two years straight.

the true point and I am sure you have these numbers - if you come first in off and def and win a pvp how many drachmas can you get and bear in mind the COST in troops to win a PVP  the drachmas you win in game the cost to get them is a waste of time. so you have to coin to win and maintain or you spend 2 years building (that doesn't even work) have one battle to win 20k in drachams and have 1mil drachams bill to get your troops back, see you in 2 years.
