The all in one I want an answer for this Phylarch Construction, Agreement, Denarii speed redux.

Ok. So since the implementation of the Phylarch, I have had no problem wrapping my head around the concept, and I don't even care about the calculation per say. Here's the problem I have now.

Before, If the building said it would take 6 days to finish, I could click the Construction Speed boost and it would reduce the build time. And then, after 3hrs, I could activate the skill again it would reduce the build time further. So in short, you could stack that bonus over and over again potentially making a 6 day building be done in like 3-4 days for example. Which I don't know was on purpose or a glitch. I don't really care.

Now, I did the same thing with the same buildings (I've been upgrading my lumberyards and forges, and they're about the same level then and now. I only have 2 artisans so it takes awhile.) and click the bonus. Let's say again the build time is 6 days, and on clicking the bonus, it goes down to 5 days 12 hrs for example. Then I leave and come back 3 hours later to click the activate skill again. I look on my building progress and it's at 5 days 21hrs... So the initial bonus is gone, I guess.

So is this a glitch? Because I'm basically using a skill and not getting the bonus at all.

And then, I thought to myself that maybe Plarium Games have fixed the stacking "glitch" if that was the case, and you are only able to reduce the build time of buildings once.

So my question is my good sirs and ladies is this. If I want to use my Construction speed bonus for example... Should I activate the skill BEFORE I upgrade a new building or can I do so even during? And should I only expect the bonus to work once per building?

Because if that's the case, that I can only expect the bonus to work ONCE per building time, then I wouldn't waste my time trying to stack it every 3 hours and work on other skills I can use every 3 hours like the points bonus or etc.

Hi! Let me explain you how the bonuses of Phylarch work.

Let's say that construction takes 6 hours. After 1 hour you activate your Phylarch with let's say 50% Construction speed Bonus. The basic time left was 5 hours. But now, with this boost, your Artisans are working faster, and the remaining time is now reduced. Now it's approximately 3,3 hours. It's 1,7 hour less!

But when 3 hours pass and your Phylarch bonus stops working, your Artisans start working slower, and the remaining time increases. It won't be 0,3 hour like it could be if your Phylarch was still active.

I hope you now better understand how the bonuses work. If you have any other questions, please ask.

So it is perfectly sound to activate the construction speed bonus every 3 hrs or whenever I can to reduce the total build time of my buildings compared to just activating it once or non at all, yes?

That's right Faytlyn! Personally I prefer the bronze and the timber production boost..They are the most worthy i think!
But it's up to the game style of each player!

Ok coolio~ Am just working on the construction stuff for now cause I've only had 1 builder for the longest time. Need to catch up on that department specially on the resource production ones, then I'll switch to production boosts. Thanks alot everyone! :D

So I don't get it. If it is true that the agreement signing boost works by increasing the speed which the agreement is being signed, then why is my agreement now on the same timer as the event? I had the boost activated then boosted down the sign time to an hour ahead of the finish time of the development race. Now they're on the same boat, and I've been constantly been activating the bonus whenever I can (almost every 3 hours). So either it is glitched and the bonus DOES NOT help you at all in any way shape and form and you're just BSing me with this crap. Or I am missing something? Because the time decreased by the boost decreases as well the shorter the total signing time is. So now I do not see the point in using it as it serves absolutely no purpose.

After this agreement I will start another and track it according by doing screenshots of  the total signing time before boost, after boost, then what it looks like after I activate it again 3 hours later. And if it proves it is useless, might as well quit the game cause obviously you're selling a lie.

See... Now I reactivated the bonus about 5 hours later. Now the agreement finish time is behind by 8 minutes. Please explain.

That's because you have reactivated the Bonus after some time. The current time will only show how much time left with the current signing speed. But when the speed boost expires, your signing speed goes back to normal. When you reactivate the boost once again, total time will be longer, because there was some time when you signed the Agreement with a lower speed.

So what's the point in using it then? I started the agreement update with the boost active, and have activated that boost as much as I could. In the end, it has not helped me at all, just gave me a false sense of hope that I'd be able to finish the agreement before the event expires.

It would've been better if the bonus applied a boost 1 time to an agreement, then activating the boost again would not work on the same agreement again, at least that way it would be a fixed reduction time or something...

See look! Now the agreement is an hour behind. All these screenshots have been taken with the boost activated btw.

Speed bonuses do help you a lot actually. Let's imagine that you're driving a car. Your final destination is in 200 km from your start point. Your speed is 50 kmph.

So it would take 4 hours to reach destination, right?

But after 1 hour driving you decide to drive 100% faster. Your speed is now 100 kmph for the next hour. If you continued driving with that speed till the end of your route, it would take 2,5 hour in total. Much less than the original 4 hours, right?

But let's imagine that after 1 hour your speed goes back to 50 kmph. And you still have 50 km to go. That's 1 hour more.

So the total time will be 3 hours. Not 4 hours like it would be without that speed bonus.

It works the same with in-game bonuses. Even though the speed will go back to the original value after your bonus expires, it will still give you a significant boost.
