The natural progression of the game is being amplified

Has it occurred to anyone else that the natural progression of the game as a whole is being far surpassed within just weeks?  We have players going up levels at an absolute tremendous rate. Troops not matching the amount of champion units which indicates not really coining.

For example: 40,000 agema with 100 or so cataphracts?

Does anyone here have the courage to speak out about this stuff openly without fear of ridicule by your piers? Will those of you who raise brow as I have stop posting justification replies to the un-natural amounts of progress being made when the game get's more and more costlier to play?

How many people do you really think spend 10,000's of dollars or even 100,000's or whatever playing a game? I for one have zero issue with major coiners but come on, do the math and time and tell me that gaining 2-3 million experience points in 24-48 hours is really, really possible.

How many of you will dismiss what I say but deep down inside you are saying the same as I in private?

All politics, friend and enemies aside, does this game even feel challenging to you anymore or "fun" to play? Are you just in denial because this game is all you have to look forward too or you are too vested financially to just say "enough is enough"?

Only challenge there is is progressing faster than those who have been here longer or spend/"exploit" and the only fun there is in the game is what you make of it. Honestly around the first week or two of playing you realize how boring and tedious the game is with a combat system that works on brute strength and wait times for building, training, and article collecting that rival grass growth.

Well, if you're talking about the city level, it's totally meaningless (maybe except for ego ^^).

Or more precisely, it's crippling.

It only gives you more difficult quests (raiding or besieging impossibly high level cities) and puts you in harder tiers in tournaments, where you have to compete with 2 1/2 years old veterans players.

So if some fools want to get there in a matter of months or even weeks by spending crazy money... Well, it's their problem, after all. ^^

Well its no wonder then many don't make it high levels and the ones that do arent very active.

This game lacks something to play daily. Events that make u loose instead of winning doesnt help.

The game is too shallow, buying stuff isnt gameplay. Give people a reason to play.

I currently find there are too many things to do everyday.

Back in the old times, there were only 2 tournaments per month and 5 quests per day. There was no coalition daily quests.

At least we had time to live and the game wasn't hogging time from real life like now, as we feel compelled to play them...

Any new MMO's out there worth looking into?  Inbox me if you have suggestion's.

Many of us have been survivors of MMO's of the past and even prior to the great Facebook era and know full well when the game's progress suddenly exceeds it's perceived natural progression then it is time to move on. It is displaying classic symptoms of a dying game and all the fancy new items, PVP tourney's and Drachma packages are the Closeout specials.

I agree with most of your comment RIX. It's at the point now where it's become more of a chore than a game and unless your willing to spend on secret paths raiding takes too long so your stuck raiding local cities. There's not much strategy to this game, hide your defensive units (or at least leave but a few out), spend your resources and keep them low so when you get raided the enemy gets little, play just high enough Persian positions so you don't lose more units than you can afford but still get a descent payout, hope you have dominion activators so you don't have to sit and wait while you do quests. It's all just very tedious. And the worst of it is all these new coalitions coming out but are not able to advance in rankings due to too few members, they just can't compete. I do agree with you.

Yes instead of tweaking what already needs improvement we will just throw some more dung on the wall and hope it sticks

these 40k agemas cities, only time will tell how many of them are in game, depends how busy people with exploits were with creating alts and working on them.
