We've set up our capitals. Now what?

Well, Coallition Capitals  is a nice new feature. Most of the coas have one. Almost all of them have been upgraded to lvl 5 which is supposed to be a milestone that grants that the capital will not be downgraded.

Now what?

1.- Keeping troops there doesn't seem to make sense since the capital can't be downgraded below lvl 5

2.- Our coa has made some successful attacks to other capitals but no noticeable reward for our capital has come as result.

3.- No need to improve further since all disciplines should be upgraded first to lvl 5 to take the benefit of a higher level.

What is the next step? waiting a couple of months to have enough medals to improve all disciplines to lvl5?

I think that the capital mechanics needs a better explanation by Plarium.

Archon you can find all the information you need in the folowing link.

http://plarium.com/forum/en/sparta-war-of-empires/game-tutorials/topics/coalition-capital--user-guide-/

Of course, I have already read that info, but still, there are many things that are not clear,  for instance, in order to upgrade the capital.....

 - Your Coalition has a sufficient amount of Tools.

Well, that's clear indeed, buy tools with drachmas or wait for months to earn tens of thousands of them little by little.

- You captured the necessary amount of Pantheons, and they are of certain Levels (those amounts will be different for different Levels).

How many pantheons? From what level do we need them? In fact we did not need to  capture any pantheon to reach lvl 5

- Your Coalition has a certain position in the Rankings.

What position do we need to reach to get to what level?

- You have downgraded an enemy Coalition Capital of a certain Level.

Degrading a lvl 3 enely coalition capital to lvl 2 does not make anything in the attacking coa's capital. What level has to have the enemy capital? and from what level do we need to make that achievement?

The guide only describes generalities. We do need more precise information.

You may check all requirements for the next level in the window of your Coalition Capital, Archon. You will always know what you should do to upgrade your Coalition Capital.

Archon, I'm sure other players will be glad to share this information if they already upgraded their Coalition Capitals. I can't post such details.

that means

BUY MORE TOOLS, ARMY, OR BETTER SAY, SPEND MONEY

THAT CAPITOL IS FOR SPENDING DOLLARS, NOT OTHER.TOMMOROW WILL THINK TO CREATE VILLAGE NEAR CAPITOL, AND HE MUST UPGRADE AND DEFEND, ALL IS ABOUT MONEY

I don't like this shady dodgy updates, no patchnotes about changes no nothing,

some buildings were given cost and bonus one ach level info to them recently, it should came as no surprise that people would like to see that for all new upcoming buildings as well.

but I know why there are no patchnotes with updates, because they would cause havoc in game and chat, people would go mental about certain changes, they get less angry when they discover it later on, it was probably tested out before and they came up with best way to roll out bad news.

all I know for lvl 9 capital you must first downgrade enemy lvl 7 capital + tools ofc.

btw only 3 updates worth anything in this game in many months were:

units speed increase

pan attacks filter

fixed formula for awarding pvp points at defending pans

well.. quality of life change, use items/res with sliders in 1 go, but elixirs mixing still not fixed.

Greetings.

That's a pity that you had negative experience with some updates.

We always give our players detailed information about new features, like we did with Coalition Capitals. But we never gave our players the requirements to all level upgrades.

Yes, we have added the bonuses for the new levels of buildings, because our players asked for it, and we wanted to show all the pros of this new feature.

But we prefer our players to try our new game features and share their experience with others. You have a chance to become one of the first who will discover the requirements for upgrading the Coalition Capital. We have listed the possible requirements in our guide, so nothing should surprise you.

Alyona, your future in politics. On such a clear question so elegantly give no answer it is art.

Yes. You improve disciplines for months. And sometimes u can send your troops there to collect pvp points (so they say). I think is not so bad idea have a war far from your backyard. ;)

Good luck

We're struggling a bit with the nuts-'n-bolts of capitals as well, but are attempting to take it a step at a time. After the recent tourneys and missions, we're investing the tools into a level 5 upgrade and coordinating donations of Drachmas to invest in selected disciplines. Concerning capital defenses, we have created a key so as to inform each coalition member what troop donations are expected of him or her (in the line of [player Level] x [donation base]). It isn't perfect, but it's learning by doing and in any case, battles for a capital city promise tourney points which, for some of us residing in very "quiet" neighborhoods, is an opportunity to commit troops without getting raided and/or Hermes getting reset back to level 0 stone age.

if u guys are not pantheon coalition and have no experience with defenses, your capital will be taken down very quickly, but lvl 5 isn't of much interest to others to be honest.

if u have at least 100mil def in capital, u have some kind of good start, if not u have to play very safe so they don't knock it down

its good idea to have expectations of people how much def should they bring to table per level etc, but I feel this need to be taught to people from beginning, it comes a shock to many if u start to expect lvl 70+ to at least 10mil def, preferably equal offense and all they have is like 150k defense:)

many players treat defense as easy pvp points, if coa has this mind set they never will have enough to hold capitals or pantheons, unless ome uncle coiner helps them out.

hope your coa has correct mind set of their players:)

Obviously we are still in nether regions in comparison to the numbers you are quoting but we feel it's a start, even if setbacks will be  forthcoming. As to ...

... this is of course an issue within most smaller clans, not only in this game. Clan discipline and esprit de corps are difficult to come by and I sometimes regret that coalitions have little to offer by way of incentives to active players beyond symbolic pro forma promotions. Oh well, Sparta was not built in a day :-).
