The persian positions are one of the most frustrating element of the game.

There is no clear explonation for it. You must concider all your gaines you get from it as a way to use them all for the next persian positions.

I've seen members loosing all their army on it. With the result they've stopped playing the game. And I've seen other members that doesn't do them at all and build their defence self and are doing well in the game for as long they don't have to fight against a coiner. Ones that happen, they also quit the game.

The problem with the Persian Positions is , that you don't get any official explanation for it from Plarium Games. There is only one. Do them when you start the game with all the troops you have ----> to gain your scrolls. That's the only official explanation you get from Plarium Games.

For me personal; the PP's are simply overpowerd and you don't get (gain )  the troops you need to do them in a proper way like it's supposed to be. The PPs are always a risk. But at the other hand, you need them, because you can't build all the troops yourself.

I self never understood why Plarium Games is not able to explain it how they correctly works. Players are supposed to play a wargame, but are not able to decide wich is the best way for it. Build them self ( too slow in the game) or take the risk with the PP's ? With the result you can end up with no army at all .

Thank you for your inputs. I am a member of that facebook page already and got the below chart from their file. I followed exactly how many force to send on level 54 position = 205K. I guess I need to research more.

From the start, Plarium never explained any internal calculations.

The idea is probably to have you immersed in an historical combat simulation rather than "playing" a maths and speadsheet "game".

Even the benefit from fortifications bonus wasn't known at all until Leonidas disclosed it recently. Even then, some people yelled at a "change", while it was only information disclosure !

Anyway, They do consider (as often written by Leonidas) thant discovering how it works is part of the game. Probably a bit like those text adventure games... Why not, after all.

They also don't forbid players to make their own statistics, discuss about their theories and share information.

So yes, this is all about guessing. They chosed to do it that way, and being their game, I guess this is their right.
