The Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race. Dev Notes

Archons, a brand new Tournament is upon us: the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race!

This guide will help you understand the Tournament's mechanics, so you can maximize your Rewards. Don't forget to share this information with all your Coalition Members!

Overview

The Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race is a time-limited Tournament where your Coalition must advance through 10 Tournament Stages by conquering Sacred Positions and earning Idols.

Idols are needed to train Acolyte Units in the Sanctum of Ares located in your Elysian City. By training Acolyte Units, your Coalition can earn Tournament Points and climb up the Rankings!

To participate in this Tournament, you must fulfill the following requirements:

  • You must be a fully-fledged Coalition Member
  • Your Coalition must not be in the process of being dismissed
  • You must have discovered the Elysian City
  • Your Coalition must have 10 or more fully-fledged Members who have discovered the Elysian City

There are two major components of the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race:

1. Conquering Sacred Positions and Earning Idols.

You can send Units to conquer Sacred Positions for only THREE DAYS during the Tournament. You cannot send Guardians to Sacred Positions.

When the Tournament begins, all Coalition Members can find two of these Positions in the Sacred Positions tab of the Sanctum of Ares. By conquering them, you can recover Idols, which are needed to train Acolyte Units and advance through Tournament Stages.

You and your Coalition must recover enough Idols together to complete each Stage. Every new Stage you reach (save for the last) reveals two Sacred Positions. If your Coalition completes the final Stage and you have conquered at least one Sacred Position during the Tournament, you can claim the final Stage Reward.

After conquering each Sacred Position, you can also select a Bonus out of three options. You can choose to get the same Bonus multiple times. The effects stack. These Bonuses will be active while Sacred Positions are available during the Tournament.

The Bonus can be to any of these statistics:

  • Unit Offense
  • Unit Defense
  • Unit Movement Speed
  • Unit Carrying Capacity
  • Timber Production
  • Bronze Production
  • Grain Production
  • Unit Training Speed
  • Light Infantry Unit XP
  • Heavy Infantry Unit XP
  • Phalanx Unit XP
  • Cavalry Unit XP
  • City Defense
  • Emporia Gathering Speed
  • Agreement Signing And Updating Speed
  • Guardian XP Bonus
  • Building Construction And Upgrade Speed
  • General's Equipment Breaking Speed
  • Battle Experience

2. Training Acolyte Units.

You can train Acolyte Units for all seven days of the Tournament in the Acolyte Unit Training tab of your Sanctum of Ares.

Each Tournament makes two Acolyte Units available for training: one Offensive Unit and one Defensive Unit. Which Units you can train can change after every Tournament based on the Cult's rituals, so their availability is limited. Recover Idols from Sacred Positions to train as many as you can!

You can speed up Acolyte Unit training with Elysian Boosts. You can also increase the speed of Acolyte Unit training by updating each Unit's Cult Agreement.

Training Acolyte Units earns Tournament Points for you and your Coalition. The more Points you earn, the higher your chances of getting a Ranking Reward. The Top 100 Coalitions will receive amazing Rewards!

IMPORTANT: Your unused Idols will be burned by the Cult in the ritual at the end of the Tournament. You will also lose them if you leave your Coalition. Make sure to train as many Acolyte Units as possible and get as many Points as you can before you lose your Idols!

Remember that the Tournament lasts for 7 days. Here's a quick visualization to illustrate the Tournament calendar:

We hope that you and your Coalition find this guide useful!

If units are in training queue but not yet trained at the end of the tournament, do you still lose those idols?

Benjy, I'm sorry for the delayed reply. As you may have already noticed, a training queue can't last longer than the duration of the tournament.

Some of our members do not like playing in this tournament, and this causes the Coalition to slowly advance to the next position.  We usually only get through level 4 or 5 due to low participation.  My question is, does/can the Heg have the ablity to remove those none participating members from being counted as qualifing players?

I'm sorry for the delayed reply. Is your question still topical? Perhaps your Coalition mates changed their minds and participate in it yet?

is the points for each position the same for every coalition , in other words less players less points to clear them ? i recall the first position is 2000 points are the points for each position the same for every coalition from 1 to 10 reguardless of how many players there are ?

or less player less points needed to clear each position?

the more players you have the higher the points needed to clear each position?

Hello!

No, but the fact is that if a coalition has more active members, they will hit faster and will reach easily the next level.
