Nearly unplayable, still.

I tried every way I could to reply in the topic I started a few days ago, but for some reason I could not post a reply, and I was forced to start a new one. Dimitri, I understand that it is your job to explain and put a positive spin on what is occurring, but c'mon man, this is getting ridiculous. Clearly, there is a problem with lag that affects nearly every aspect of the game and the way it is functioning. Ignoring a problem does not mean it does not exist, and deflecting or minimizing does not address or remedy it either. When you have players here telling you something is wrong, and I have my own players telling me something is wrong, then it logically follows that something is wrong. This is the same problem that existed a few months ago and was addressed then, but since then the game has deteriorated again to an almost unplayable state.

For you to say that because you are not seeing complaints of it in the support arena does not mean it does not exist. What it means is exactly what people here are saying, they have given up on support for answers and remedies. Look, we pay Plarium for a product that is supposed to function, and players here are telling you, and my players are telling me that it is not functioning correctly, so why do you imply that we are not being straightforward regarding this issue? Why is it that any explanation implies that we are not being truthful or that we are not experiencing what we tell you we are experiencing? What would be our purpose for doing so? All anyone is asking for is a game that functions without we as players having to suffer a degraded game environment that is simply not working, in spite of what you say.

This issue is affecting nearly every aspect of gameplay, almost nothing is unaffected by it. Denying that the lags and freezes do not exist is not going to change the fact that it clearly does exist, and is causing problems. Most players have been extremely patient with regard to the many shortcomings that exist in the game, but there is a limit to people's patience. I often feel like Plarium has adopted a "if you do not like it, too bad" policy or philosophy towards players and their concerns. Many of the promises of improvements and features to come somehow never seem to materialize, while the rhetoric regarding them is always the same, promising their arrival, but not showing up or delivering them in a timely manner . Sure, there have been some cosmetic changes and cutesy little features that have little to do with improving actual gameplay, but for the most part it seems that real fundamental change to gameplay remains elusive.  

As I said previously, until this is fixed I will only do the bare minimum with regard to gameplay, and I will advise my players to do the same until we can play freely without fear of something bad happening because the game simply does not work correctly. This will certainly put us at a disadvantage in the game, but better to be safe than sorry. Look, in my opinion, my responsibility as a player here ends when I pay real money to Plarium to play this game. It is not my job to police the final product or to spend my time doing anything other than playing. It seems that we as players are continuously being advised to do this thing or that thing in order for the game to function close to correctly, when in most realities that is simply not our responsibility. I also think that Plarium has been the beneficiary of some great patience and willingness of players to go beyond what is necessary to play the game.

So Dimitri, it is time to quit peeing on our backs and telling us it is raining and work on getting this problem resolved. To continue to deny that this is a problem, when it clearly and unequivocally is one, is not going to change that fact it exists and results in a very poor gameplay experience everyday it continues. The frustration and annoyance of having our concerns dismissed or discounted will have a negative consequence at some point for most players. Players want and deserve a game that works correctly.

I never post here, I consider it a waste of time, especially because in actuality this forum is just a rant section with no actual Plarium employees taking any actual Plarium action.  Still, Woad's post is accurate in the extreme.  When it takes the game 40 seconds to resolve a click in the 'Divine Quests' section, there is a problem.  When the game needs 30 seconds to find cities when a player is trying to be out on the map, there is a problem.  When a player cannot recall defense from his acropolis in time to defend against an attack being boosted in because the game locks up, there is a problem.  When it takes 20 seconds for the game to post a comment on the coalition chat board, there is a problem.  I could go on for hours; there are that many problems, and we all are experiencing them.  So, like it or not, your customers are not happy with the game performance, and Plarium has gone out of their way to ensure that dealing with support is not only difficult and time-consuming, but also unrewarding and pointless.  I have personally never received any useful help or advice from support and quit trying over a year ago.  Many players have done the same thing after the same experience.  It is time for Plarium to wake up, get off their a$$es, and do something about these problems.  Additionally, nobody wants to hear about Flash; it has been well-advertised for over a year that Flash support was going away, and it is not the players' fault that Plarium ignored this issue.

A RAID WAS COMING I SECURED MY TROOPS 1000 TIMMES AND STILL FOR 10 MINUTES IT WAS OUT!!!!!!!

WHAT IS GOING ON!

Lag in response to game inputs is at a point where I am beginning to lose my interest in supporting this game.  In Pan combat, fellow members have lost large amounts of offense because the game took upwards of a minute to respond to their request to pull the troops out.  When I began play on this platform lag was not an issue.  Now, most interactions with the game take several seconds to update, and frequently much longer than that.  This is not pleasant to experience in raiding, sieging, and pan combat where you need to have an optimal response.  I can only speculate that the other worlds that have been added, are being supported by the same hardware that supports the world I play in.  Another thought is that all the different gaming environments are sharing hardware.  If Plarium wants to see their revenue grow, they need to maintain an appropriate level of response for all players.  Additionally, be transparent in the level of support being provided.  Acknowledge issues, set the appropriate levels of expectation and provide clear timelines for resolution (or not). If you simply treat your onliners as dollars you will lose their respect, and ultimately their dollars.  I see a lot of "Drachma Boycott" signs on cities.  The message is out there.  Take notice.

moderators have nothing to do with the  game mate  ,they are users   of this game as us ..the admins are the problem in this case ...anyhow  contact the support team ..  and make some print screens with youre losses and the hour and that happened maybe you have some luck ...  https://plariumsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

We had 5 players delete accounts/leave the game-3 were from game lag and lost troops "after" purchasing packages (that were incomplete by their words)...and 2 members that informed us they were leaving due to the volume of "porn" messages.


 I myself disabled my in-game messages-15 girls wanted me to speak with them about sex-I don't think I would have had the stamina 


I really can't say anything at this point-I know all to well the standard "party line".

Suffice to say is that I have never seen any one organization shoot themselves in the foot and drive off customers!


I hope that whatever is going on is resolved-quickly!

What a screw-up - this is the kind of stuff I expect to see from a high-school or college project. 



OR



We were told early in 2017 that Plarium would change things - to get people to stick around for another YEAR.


When people finally got tired of waiting, they start the BETA test in 2018, now hopes are up again for maybe another YEAR.


Then, after another YEAR, somewhere in 2019, probably the game gets closed down.


That is a great 3-year plan for new Management - get in, squeeze out some last bucks, then get out.



I'm not kidding - this kind of stuff happens often at corporates.

To start, it's been several years since players say that plarium will put the key under the door. They are still here today, if you think you are threatening this way, know that it will not work.

I propose a very simple solution, play via the plarium app. Thanks to her, I personally don’t encounter any of your problems.

If you notice delays, using this app, the problem comes from you.

LOL  Bill you are serios  all  of us have  problems with our internet connection only on this site   ..and  youre servers are good not ...



The game  works  slower today ..can't  do the galley trick ..as usuallly i   lost  100 k raids because of lags ...and ir boosts  to recalll my galleys with resources ...will lose  more then sure the  top three in the weekly rankings because of  it ..and of course the problem   it's our part    :(

Skulder can you confirm which platform and server you are experiencing issues with and I will post in the bug report forum on the behalf of everyone, I am getting multiple reports on the Plarium.com platform but FB servers seem unaffected (at least for me and the rest of my team which are all around the globe) but I would like to confirm that 


it would also help knowing people's rough geographical location as there have been instances in the past of certain countries either blocking or throttling services from other ones, (Israel and Palestine and Lebanon for example)

I have problems  on  Glorious Valley plarium english portal...and it's for some days ... today was atrocious earlier  ... now i don't try playing  .. and don't told me  to make an ticket because like  i told you   on the other post was close without receiving an answer in the lag problem 

sent an raid for example and then i tried to  send the galley the screen  blocked to  00.00 time  of the galley to destination..the raid arrived ..but  didn't get 100 k resources ...but had to use an instant recall  to call back my galleys  ..because  the time i could  recall them free  passed because my    game was having lag and was frezzed for  like  30 seconds  to one minute or more..also the game take more then usual to load in the last days 

And if u read    what others guys read   here ...i'm not the only one with problems with the lag ..and it's not from us ...


L.E.  i'm from Romania   they didn't blocked anything here ..my  internet connection  works  well on every  sites  including the  forum from here ...just the game   has problem

Morteee,we have issues on plarium server 1,Glorious Valley.when we press any button,5 seconds are needed something to happen,what ever we do,there is a lag,simple actions,apply divine,resourses,to brake pieces for general,not to mention its almost impossible to raid,send ships,or to fight with someone....game give us :gods are meddling,object didnt found,not enough resourses to build troops even warehouses are full....it makes us angry.

since you play on fb server,and you dont have those issues there,maybe if you give me your coords on fb server,i could explain you better :)

Bill's suggestion is the best one I've seen so far. I tried the app that you download to your windows PC (and perhaps other places):  https://plarium.com/en/plarium-games/

It won't break any speed records for game performance, but it is also not the unusuably slow version you get from running your browser to access plarium.com 


I can't speak about bugs with this as I have only just started using it today.


EDIT: SOMETIMES it is quite slow. Though at its worst (so far) it is not nearly as unplayable as the browser version.

If its any consolation Tonaya, I suspect the sales have been lagging too, and will continue to do so until they get it back to irs normal, merely mediocre state.

That is a futile request. When people are mad, they don't want to be tidy and organized. And I'm not sure even during the Plarium Boycott, people were as mad at Plarium as they are now.

I am just trying to collate the issue so ONE report from EVERYONE can be submitted, that way they get a whole picture without multiple tickets being raised, win win, less tickets for them to trawl through and one ticket a Mod has raised so can chase up more easily for you all 


think of it as a super complaint almost

Trust me. This is not a ticket collation issue. The bug is systemic. If the VP of R&D doesn't already know about this, he/she should be fired. This is a Drop-Everything-Everyone-Get-On-This. They should be able to create a reproducable bug from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AT ANY TIME. They don't need us to do their work redundantly and inefficiently for them. They know their code/systems are crap. They need to fix them. End of story. No bug report needed.


Plarium DOES OWE their users a Status Report. Updated VERY frequently. Publicly. On the home page of this site.
