INFIRMARY - ANOTHER SNEAKY CHANGE WTHOUT ANY NOTICE
So for YEARS , it was possible for smaller, less powerful players, especially in small coalitions, to use their Infirmary, if developed to Level 16, to send 1 of each type of offensive unit to try and break a powerful siege on their city. Even if the sieging player placed 200 million defence, a small player could revive these single offense unit at 50% - as per the bonus level description. 50% of 1 unit was ALWAYS rounded UP, so the unit could be revived for FREE This prevented Huge, bully players from sieging a small ACTVE player PERMENENTLY - Or for it to be a profitable action Now 50% has been rounded DOWN, so you LOSE any troop you send as a single unit So Plarium - Once again you want to shut smaller players out of the game. Who the hell is going to want to play a game with their city constantly or permanently under siege ? Great idea !! Come an and play Sparta !!! - and lose 25% of either your timber or bronze resource production to a player or players - that will constantly bully and block you out of the game Sign me up right now Perhaps you should now stop falsely advertising the Infirmary revival as 50% for offensive troops and call it 49.99999% instead
The reason this is so important - more than Guardian emerald rewards, is that it stops one player shutting down another players out of the game, or even one coalition shutting down another coalition.
Please tell me - would you log in every day - to see a player / players has sieged your city ??
With no possible solution - other than spend ridiculous amounts of money to revive half your offense every time you fail- how many players will stay ?
And please don't reply by saying something like - you can still perform all your normal functions - you just have to "pay" a 25% reduction in your timber or bronze. Like a scene from Monty Python's the Holy Grail - " It's just a flesh wound - I can still play with one of my legs chopped off
And don't tell me " ask another player or your coalition to help you break it
I'll send a message to all coalition team mates - each has 10m offense - "Hey all - please can 20 of you please send all your offense to fail to break a siege on my city. It will only cost you $500 to revive them."
Dear Plarium, I know you like to make changes without thinking through the consequences.. so let me join the dots for you ..
NEW PLAYER joins Sparta - plays for 6 months - has 10m offence 5m defence - feeling good, doing well. Joined the highest ranked coalition that would accept him with his stats and player level. NON-COINER
They have 80 players - 60 active total coalition stats = offense 1.2 billion 800m defence. Attracting new players and growing
KILLSPARTA coalition - MEMERS OF MEGA-COINER UNION - they have 140 players - 120 active - they are ranked top 10. They are an aggressive coalition that likes to show that messing with them will be bad for your health. Coalition stats : offense = 12 billion defence 8 billion
They wake up one day and decide NON-COINER coalition looks good for some PVP points, but they don't have troops in capital or pans and they never leave troops out. So KILLSPARTA sieges every player in NON-COINER. looking to force a response
A FEW PLAYERS TRY TO BREAK THE SEIGES, BUT THEY SOON REALISE THAT THEY WILL ALL LOSE THEIR ENTIRE OFFENSE
AND STILL BE SIEGED .
They wait a week to see if KILLSPARTA will get bored and let them go. but they don't.
20% of players leave and join another coalition.
20% of players go KAMIKAZE - send all their offense and leave the game
20% of players decide to continue to play under siege and raid anyone, hoping to use the siege as protection and provoke players to attack them whilst under siege - no-one does - attacking a KILLSPARTA siege means the death of your game .
40% of players leave the game, but don't go KAMIKAZE , why give KILLSPARTA the rewards they wanted?
So another coalition dies and 36 players leave the game.
KILLSPARTA wakes up the next day and likes the look of YOUR COALITION....
Funny how a little change like rounding the number 1 UP or DOWN can either KILL a coalition or allow it to PLAY
