Guardian Bond rewards are faulty

Since the Guardian Duel started earlier this week, I thought it would be informative to monitor the 2% payout of Grade 3 (Blue) guardians of cashing basic bonds.

Since that time I have cashed 1,560 basic bonds. So if your system is working correctly I should have got 31 Blues.

Instead I got 20.

Since G.XP event started running concurrent with Duel, rate is even worse 660 bonds cashed for just 4 blues - should be 13.

On a sample size this big the percentages should be working out the those you claim.

A similar result for Eric bonds, claimed percentages 70% green : 20% Blue : 10% Purple
Actual given (sample size 21)                                     86%             9%           5%

Then there is my earlier experience;

https://plarium.com/forum/en/sparta-war-of-empires/128_game-discussion/200129_not-happy-jan-/

You could call it just bad luck but it happens so consistently that overwhelmingly this is poor Plarium code - programming code or ethical code I am not sure.

Either way can you please fix!

Plarium is bad at percentage calculations.

There is the guardian event where you have to collect prices.

According to this table you should get 108 prices in 100 battles, that means a rate of 1.08 prices per battle.

My rate in around 4k battles is 0.71, so Plarium is doing the percentage calculations wrong.

I think they are doing something like this: https://onlinegdb.com/H1rk1amfw

Archons, believe it or not, but this area of the game is controlled by the rules of randomness. It was very carefully tested by our QA specialists and there are almost zero chances that there is a bug in drop chances since this is the Guardians' core feature. These cases can't be considered as a bug.

Nancy, i'm sorry but i have to disagree with you.

With the given chances you should get a rate of 1.08 prices per battle on average, this is a fact.

The rate should be even higher, as i didn't take the extra prices for critical hits into account.

I am a software developer for over 20 years and i've seen incorrect percentage calculations more than once.

In my first message i have even added a link to a sample program with the difference between correct and wrong calculation:

https://www.onlinegdb.com/H1rk1amfw

If you show this program to your programmers they will see their mistake.

The wrong calculation is constantly giving rates between 0.63 and 0.68.

Add the missing prices for critical hits and my rate of 0.71 in 4000 battles is understandable.

Igu, thanks for your reply. I'll forward this information to the team.

Hello Nancy,

thank you for forwarding this to the team.

I think the current rate is what the designers wanted to have in regards to gameplay and balance.

I don't want to have higher drop rates, just that the shown percentages are correct.

hi Nancy

Thanks for taking the time to look into this.

Most players will not post in the forum as there is a perception it is a waste of time.

We compare our drop rates on important G types in discussion outside of game and the overwhelming experience is that Plarium fails to deliver on it's  'promised' percentages.

This creates mistrust and bad feelings towards Plarium

I would suggest:

  1. Your developers are mistaken and their random drop generator is not working correctly
  2. This problem is so easy to fix. If for instance you promise (epic bonds) 70% green; 20% Blue; 10% Purple then simply program for each 10 epics cashed, 7 are green, 2 are blue and 1 is purple. Easy! AND the problem goes away

Hello Nancy, did you get feedback from the devs?

Igu, I’m sorry to have kept you waiting.

The dev team did check the information provided by you and adapted the formula to make sure that all the criteria of receiving prices are fully met.

We would be really grateful if you could check if everything seems fine to you during the next event using the method you showed us. Please share the results of your observations with me in reply to this topic.

Thank you so much for helping us to make the game better.

Hello Nancy, thank you for for the feedback.

As is already said: I just like to have correct numbers shown, no need to change the formula. If the formula is changed to match the shown percentages the rate of prices will be almost twice as high as before.

This was an amazing job you did here for all Sparta players. Thank you
