Combine Contracts: Evaluate and Improve Combine Spirit!
Combine Contracts: Evaluate and Improve Combine Spirit!
It has only been a month since the Combine Contracts feature was released in Soldiers Inc., but it has already made some noise. Dozens of questions have been addressed to me on the subject, such as “How do I get these Contracts?”, “What are the rewards?”, and many others. I shall hereby address these issues.
Completing Combine Contracts results in rewards for one and all – no Combine Member is left without a reward. Still, the question remains: "What’s to be gained from doing Combine Contracts?"
To put it very simply, Combine Contracts are based on the principle of teamwork. One of us isn’t as good as all of us! Should only a few players, or just a single player, contribute, the Combine would get basic rewards – nothing particularly noteworthy. But if everyone in the Combine contributes, there is the potential to receive a much greater Reward Pack. So gather your Combine members and get going! Build troops, smash the Mining Complexes up or complete the Special Ops. There's room for everyone to prove their worth.
So, what are the benefits of completing Combine Contracts? Here is a brief overview:
1. Raising team spirit — these challenges are certainly a great way to unite all your Combine members with one common goal.
2. This game element allows the Combine CEO's to monitor the activity of their Commanders on a daily basis and to determine who is giving their best – and who isn’t! These Combines also have the potential to “wake up” players who might have been “hibernating” for some time, as the whole Combine will see if someone isn’t contributing, and can urge them to take part.
3. Regular rotation of different Contracts – the world of Soldiers Inc. encompasses hundreds of thousands players who each have different preferences and tactics. Every player, and every Combine, will have different strengths, and with this system they can choose to partake in the Contracts that suit them best.
4. Among the new Combine Contracts goals are some that do not require the sacrifice of Units – for example, one requires the training of Units, and another requires the completion of Special Ops. So, in fact, players effectively receive the Resources, Units, and Boosts that are the rewards for these Contracts for free! You can go on to use these Units and Resources in Combine Wars and the more battle-centric Combine Contracts, thereby making your Combine stronger and stronger every day!
5. The Contract rewards are shared evenly between everyone in the Combine; no player is forgotten. Even players who weren’t active during the contract and didn’t participate receive rewards if the Combine is successful.
6. Rewards are received in the form of Reward Packs, which can be claimed from the Black Market for maximum convenience.
Now, let's discuss the details, which have caused players some confusion:
1. Combine Contracts are not issued to everyone. Some Combines may not have them available at a given time. If your Combine is currently involved in a Combine Challenge, and there is an active PvP Quest, Global Contract or Discount/Promotion, then you will not be able to take part in a Combine Contract that is issued. If the global event finishes, or your Combine Challenge comes to an end, and the Combine Contract is still active, the Combine Contract will suddenly become visible to you and you can take part for the remaining time.
2. At first glance, the rewards may not seem so impressive when compared with the scale of work Combine Contracts require of Combines. However, when one takes into account that every Combine member gets a Reward Pack, and multiplies the reward by the number of Combine Members, it actually turns out to be very worthwhile!
3. When the Reward Pack is opened, the various contents are immediately sent to their respective places: the Units report to the Bunker while the Resources, Boosts and other game items are shipped directly to the Black Market. This may seem unusual at first, but you only have to open your prizes at the Black Market to reap the incredible benefits.
4. All good things come to an end, and Reward Packs are no different. They expire after 3 days, so be quick to activate them within the given period. This also prevents inactive members from benefitting from these missions.
5. Some of the Combine Contracts require investments. It’s up to the players, with the guidance of their Combine management, to make difficult strategic choices with regards to putting their armies at risk for a shot at the biggest rewards or playing it safe but missing out. This isn’t a popular social network-based farm development game - this is a war strategy MMO, after all!
The bottom line is that this feature will change both individual and team gameplay, and every player and Combine can and should develop their own strategies and policies for Combine Contracts task completion. Do not miss out on these opportunities!
