Recon an incoming attack !!

There are 2 ways to use recon units:

  • try to recon bases of the other players
  • avoid being reconned.

Unfortunately, however, these two ways are one-sided, which means:

  • only the attackers can try to recon the defensive units allocated on a base,
  • only the defenders can avoid being reconned.

This means that defending players can never know in advance if the army they are about to fight is within their possibilities / abilities / capacities ... or if it is too strong (unlike the attacking players, who can control the amount of defenses deployed in a base, before launching their attacks!).

I thought of giving both the defenders and the attackers both possibilities, introducing a new type of recon unit, which allows the defenders to recon the incoming attacks and the agressors to avoid being reconned.

this new recon unit works just like the old ones but on the contrary: if his recon attempt succeeds, the defending player who has deployed these units on one of his bases, sees a report delivered to him 1 or 2 minutes before the attack of his attacker reaches his destination. He can thus see in advance of 1 or 2 minutes the attack that is coming in his base (or any base in which he has deployed these units).

This is a good advantage! in this way he can assess if the units he has deployed in defense of his base are sufficient or if it is necessary to deploy additional units (or, in the worst case, if it is better to recall everything and retreat, because the incoming offensive army is excessively powerful for its possibilities).

The offensive player can prevent the defensive player from making this recon on his attack army, simply if he also includes in his attack some of the new recon units mentioned above.

If the offensive player has included enough of these new recon units in his attack, then the defensive player fails his recon and he can not see in advance the army of the offensive player who is about to hit him ...

The defensive player's attempt to recon will fail or succeed, with the same unit ratio for which currently an offensive player fails his recon against a defensive player who has deployed drones on his base (or external bases).

Since, in this case, it is the defensive player the one who is trying to recon the army of the attacker, the drone losses take place in its deployment (exactly the opposite of current recon attempts, in which the one who lose his recon units is the aggressor, because he is the one who is trying to recon the defender's units deployed on a base).

This feature will kill any interest of attacking players at all.

There won't be any strategy and risk at all.

That's why devs won't implement it.
