Stuck in Loading-Screen on PlariumPlay

Hello,

since the last PlariumPlay-Client update I'm unable to start R:SL via the PlariumPlay-Client. After I uninstall the client and reinstall it starts the game ONE time. As soon as I close the game I'm stuck at the loading screen afterwards again. Do I really have to uninstall/reinstall your buggy client every time I want to play R:SL on my PC?

I have the same issue. You have 2 options to avoid uninstall/reinstall over and over again. One, is to keep thee game running even if you're not playing. Two, to restart your PC before starting the game. That works one time also, (it will update Steam and this allow game to start) so you have to restart PC every time, but it's still faster than the uninstall/install option.

Have either of you tried using a VPN to connect after you run into this issue?

Yeah, a restart every time I want to play a game doesn't seem proper. I haven't tried the VPN. But why would I need to use VPN just for this one game after what is clearly an issue of the client itself?

Well, you can try it to see if it works while we wait for a fix. There are many free, safe vpns. Or you can not try it, and potentially not play on pc until there is a fix. 

I'm not saying a vpn will 100% fix the issue, but it is a step that you can perform yourself to possibly enable you to play. Another option is to use Bluestacks like many of us do.

I tried it with VPN. It did not work. Bluestacks is not performing very well on my PC. Why on earth would you fuck up your OWN client so much, that the sole purpose, for which is was made, is canceled out?

It's a mystery, I'll ask Plarium why they did it next time I talk to someone who works there. Alrighty so the next step would be 


To try using task manager to close all incidents of Raid. Seems like it's creating multiple stacks of the game and then failing to load.

From the Task Manager, close all things that say Raid and see if that clears up your issue when you open again after that.

Okay, that did it for me. I closed all open applications of the PlariumPlay-Client via task manager and it worked. Thanks mate.

The other option when you the game is stuck on the loading screen is to select Settings>System Preferences>Reset Cache. This will log you out of your current session and restart the system to accept your login request.

Using that process is much easier and less combersome than opening Task Manager and using the End Task feature for each Raid session being logged.

One more suggestion is to pull the Raid Log Files and send them to Raid Support so they can further understand how distruptive this issue has been and continues to be. It's rediculous we have to continually troubleshoot these issues for Raid and then have to wait so long to have them correct an issue on their servers.

pp_log.txt and the AppData\Local\Plarium\PlariumPlay\StandAloneApps\raid\266

I tried the VPN fix and it did not work. Just not going to play if they don't fit it. The support is nomhelp either. The VPN is the last step in their fix attempts. Plus all you get is an auto reply when asking about the issue.

Try using your task manager to close all instances of Raid, and then relaunch the game.

I had this issue and loked online, some people seem to not distinguish betwwen PlariumPlay and Raid.

Advice like "just keep the game running" ignores that the launcher wont start so the game isn't even running, likewise for adjustiing settings.

My desktop icin also went blank, seems like when I fixed that in properties it fixed the loading.

I use iMac, and since the last update I have not been able to access Raid at all. The load screen goes blank, changes colours, and that is it.

Was wondering if any other Mac users have the same trouble.

I tried VPN and it still did not work, so I hope it gets sorted out soon.
