Same here. I played this for a couple days, was away from it for a couple more, and now the desktop icon is gone, nothing is in the Start menu or Taskbar, and absolutely nothing shows up in Windows Exporer except the original download sitting in the Downloads folder.
An attempt to re-do the install yields "Game already installed," and thereafter the Plarium pop-up screen just sits there with the pulsating-dots graphic, and... nada. Clicking it brings up a prompt "Would you like to cancel the installation - Y/N."
But... I thought "Game already installed" was the situation.
So at this point the simple fact that the game was only interesting and entertaining up to a very limited point, leads me to consider just ditching it altogether and diving back into the classic Baldur's Gate (which I just started playing for the first time a coupla months ago.)
Raid has nice graphics but there are some technical hurdles I just do not have time for, and apparently nobody at Plarium is bothering to answer questions on these forums so customers don't have much choice other than to just bail. On this last, based on what other people are experiencing with these forums, I'm getting the impression that Plarium is just a commercial venture that launched a game and set up a self-running forum site, then kicked back to rake in cash with zero actual customer support.
Which is a pretty definite way of guaranteeing past customers will never be seen again. We need some support here. Your product doesn't work.
I've been having the same (or similar) issue.
Playing on Win, using Plarium Play installer from here. Issue is-
Exit game. Next attempt to play, Play client says it's updating (even if auto-update is disabled). Update never completes. Longest I've left it updating is 30mins.
Workaround. Go to Play install folder, run Uninstaller, uninstall all game files.
Download Play client again
Run installer again
Which is rather frustrating, especially as there also seems to be a memory leak which means keeping Raid running in background doesn't seem to work. Also the log viewer in the client settings takes you to a file location with an encoded/encrypted logfile, so not much use.
From experimenting, I've seen another logfile in the game folder that reports a missing .dll. Also the uninstaller leaves files behind, locked to 'raid.exe', which isn't running. So possible the game isn't exiting cleanly, confusing the installer.
Personally, I use bluestacks a great deal.
