I tired uninstalling and reinstalling and no luck. Game just sticks at the sreen where my user ID and such were. Game goes no further, no error messages, no status messages just the big grand arean battle scene.

this sounds like you need to try to log back into your existing account, but can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing?
