I am having a similar issue.
When I login to my account an error message pops up over the promo screen.
This is happening on 2 different PCs. I also created a new account on my mobile phone and there is no issues. Logged into my existing account and the problem is still there. My mobile phone is using mobile data so is a different Internet connection to the PCs.
