Arena stalemate

Hi. Was in arena and noticed that there is no draw option.

It was a 1v1 situation. I had Sethalia left with immortal and lifedrain gear and specced into heals. Opponent either had gear that would allow extra turns or a skill that would give extra turns and what seemed immortal gear as he would also heal at the start of the turn.

I could never deal enough damage to kill him because every turn, he takes about 2-3 turns, with immortal gear, he would heal for about 5k hp, total between 10k-15k. I could only deal 5k, 10k if crit, every turn.

On the other hand, he would be able to deal around 20k dmg in 3 turns(sethalia's hp is 25k) but i would be able to heal 25k in 3 turns.

Ive already left it on auto at 2x and its been 45 mins. I quit out of the arena because of this.

However, i do not agree that i should have been awarded defeat because i quit. I quit because it was a stalemate and couldve gone on in an infinite loop, but then i would not be able use my phone for anything else.

Hey, I completely understand the annoyance here but unfortunately, not a bug and it's a valid defensive strategy to make comps that can stalemate. Think about it like this: you see your opponents team and get to choose who to bring to the fight, whereas their part is done in the fight. The player on offense has all the advantages so it's reasonable for someone setting a defense to make themselves as unattractive to challenge as possible.

That sounds great on paper but Ultimate Deathknight can make damned near ANY team unbeatable. And he's EVERYWHERE. Easily 80% of the teams have him and are compelled to use him on defense, themselves, just to prevent rank loss from being defeated while being unable to defeat any of the others teams offensively.

I'm just sitting here watching -- AGAIN -- my 4-man team beat on one UDK and he can't beat me. This has happened a couple dozen times now and I keep walking away with the loss. I let it go a couple days ago and even saw the 1500 turn cap.

Stalemates as a one-off? Fine. But 50%+ of fights? That's just broken.

Gonna lock this one up because well, not a bug.

Anywho, 50%+ being stalemates seems a bit hyperbolic, and if you're having trouble beating those one man defenses you should look into either A) avoiding them or B) figuring out how to beat them, if you have the champs and gear to do so. I look at them the same as I look at one man Paragon defenses. If you can't beat them, don't challenge them.

And if you can't beat them, focus on improving the existing champs you have (gearing, ranking up, etc.) rather than the alternatives.
