Permanent Unkillable

In absolute fairness I can't be sure whether this is a bug, an exploit, or just the game functioning as intended. A player in arena has a Paragon champion level 50 that is able to use his Damage Control ability every other turn to remain in a constant state of invincibility. All attempts to remove this effect with skills that remove buffs have been resisted. Loading in, the Paragon in question did not appear to have any Awakened abilities.

Is this intended? Should this be happening, and do I just need to shrug my shoulders and git gud?

Update:

Did finally finish the battle in victory after about 50 minutes. I have read about Paragon Cheese as a tactic and was concerned that the player in question was using some sort of bug or exploit to make the Paragon's resistances higher than they should be. The Paragon was level 50, ascension 3. Took me 50 minutes to successfully debuff.

Oof. Not fun.

But yeah, just a Paragon with a crazy amount of RES. Nothing out of the ordinary, just an annoying defense. :)

Thank you for the prompt response. Glad I can chalk it up to someone trolling rather than exploiting a bug.

You're welcome.

you'll see definitely see a troll defense from time to time, meant there to catch folks off guard.
