I have spent over four months grinding and well over 1000 gems to fuse razhien it's the grind my friend I enjoy it at times I have collect a lot of stuff long the way 

Rhazin is a viable legendary fusion champion.  Relickeeper is alright, but not in the same class.

And grinding is fine, to a point.  When it feel and seems deliberately like its intent is to drive you in the direction of spending money, that is what is called predetory.

It is a facinating psycological phenomenon when people defend predetory anti-consumer practices.  There is genuinely no defense of that type of behavior...

I would normally start by asking you what difficulty you are farming, what rares you're still missing, etc.... There are ways to maximize the drop rates for yourself, and the forums usually point those out to help newcomers do the fusion many of us successfully completed while being F2P, whether you are talking about Relickeeper or Rhazin.

I know a long time ago I fully booked Executioner, Warmaiden and Spirithost just on campaign rare dupes, so normally I'd tell someone just to use their daily energy and keep at it, cause they will get them eventually if they just stick to it. But.... I'd hate to be overly fascinating by defending the "indefensible." 

Its random and nothing anti-consumer ... when i dont want more champs i fill my mailbox with those campaign rares but when i actively farm for them , took a ton of energy to get them ...
