What is the Eternal Soul Essence for?

I see the use for the lesser soul essence in the soul merchant, but I've never seen an opportunity to use the Eternal ones anywhere.

Those are for purchasing Split Souls once they show up for you.

So what the heck is a "split soul"?  All I ever see are the perfect souls in the merchant.

They are the ones you get offered once you have already reached at least level 1 awakening for a champ. They allow you to advance to the next level of awakening.

I should specify too that Eternal Soul Essences are just used for purchasing 5-6* Split Souls.

Also, the key difference between Perfect and Split Souls is:

Perfect souls will take your champion straight to that level of awakening.

However, a Split Soul (let's say 4* for this example) will require your champion to be at 3* awakening already, the Split Soul then will take them from 3* to 4*.

I think my above post answers that question, but the Perfect soul will take him RIGHT to that level of awakening. That is what the significance of a perfect soul is.

Hey, I have a different situation.   The game tricked me into putting a 1* perfect into a dupe.  Today I got excited when I saw a TWO * for the same guy so I was gonna use it on my Main champ.  It would not work.

since the 1* for that champ is on the wrong one...a dupe, will I be able to get a 1* for my Main, or since it already dropped for me and I used it to awaken the dupe, I am out of luck?

(the 2* was an imperfect)

First off, I wouldn't waste an Awakening on a lousy champ, however, for the purpose of this scenario, you'd have to wait for a 1* Perfect Soul in the Merchant, awaken your main champ, and then use the 2*Split soul to awaken him to 2*. That, of course, unless you happen to pull a higher rank Perfect soul from a Soulstone. Then you can go directly to that rank without the need for the Split soul, which you can then sell.

Selling perfect souls of crappy champions is the best way to get the essences, with which you can buy perfect and split souls from the merchant, aside from running Iron Twins.

My advice, don't buy everything you see in the merchant, only that which you assess will help your main champions carry your account forward.

This was for my Main.  Last time the game popped up a dupe, but I was so excited to finally get one for my Main I didnt notice. sneaky, sneaky.  IDK why it did that but did not list my Main when it also qualified.  Anyways I think it's kinda a learning curve here.  They get me once, but then I get it and dont make same mistake again.  It gives me hope that you seem to be saying another 1*...or maybe 2* can drop for my Main.  I didnt know if that happens once you use it on another champ.   I do sell crappy one's and also one's I will probably never get given I am a low spender.  Sometimes I may get an S Tier drop that I consider keeping because it is too good to sell but otherwise I sell stuff and farm IT's.

A stone allowes you to summon a soul.  It will always be a perfect soul.

essence allowes you to purchase a soul.  It will be a rank 1 perfect soul, or a higher rank split soul.
