Why only get hit overnight?

In the classic arena I have reached Gold V, not because I "got good" but I got good enuff to beat many low power teams, usually the single champs like hundreds of solo arbiters which I find ez to beat.  I often get attacked but it is only after RESET which for me is 8pm EST.  There may be a about 20 to 25 attacks on me from about 8pm to 4am following morning, but no attacks at all for 16 hours until next reset. That seems wierd.  There is no shortage of L90 to L100 players out there hitting my defense with 2 to 3x of my power so it is nothing I can ever hope to stop. I simply bounce back with my gold coins and get gold bars but it is tedious.

Can anyone explain this??

You only "seem" to get overnight because there is a loss cap in the Gold brackets right now. After 20/25 losses (depending on your rank), losses stop registering to your account.

You are hit another 100 times, but since losses are capped  (the only reason you are in G5 😆) and not displayed in log it just looks like you are not being attacked.

Don't worry, we are still attacking you  ;)

Edit: too slow for the mighty quinn...

I am starting tonight's reset at 3731/3776 Platinum, I will see how many points I get knocked down with no retaliations.  Guessing 200-250 pts.

sitting at 552 GH gold medals, shooting for 700.

UPDATE:  So by next morning, I noticed that I received 19 defeats, with a total point loss of 221 pts.  That is almost 12 pts/attack, a little higher than the 10 I guessed.  Last battle was around 6 am.

So I am not sure what it means to say that losses are capped, how does that happen?  Do I stop showing up on the target list?

Sounds about right for point loss. Not certain where you are Great Hall wise, but sounds like you realize this is prime farming time. :)

The normal pattern I see is to go up and down like a yoyo in Gold V.  There is enough bandwidth to last at least 24 hours without getting booted lower.  If the limit is 20 to 25 losses, and I figure average point loss is 10, so hence my estimate. By staying on it I can work my way back up to where I was if I get enough gold coins.  But it still takes 175 victories to get 700 medals, I bat pretty close to 100%.

Does Quinn get extra gold bars for answering first?
