What's the point of it? What's the thought behind it? To somehow force people to log in? Do they have so little confidence in their game that they have to force people to log in 20 times a day to make sure their champ is leveled. It's bad enough that it's painfully slow, can we get rid of the whole "click the button to level up" mechanic?
Basically - yes. If it happened automatically, it would lower the value of chickens. I do wish it would let you overflow a bit at least, but that's as much as you'll get likely.

I think 12-3 Brutal devalues those chicken plenty. If it makes them feel any better, I stopped paying for chickens when my gear needs started massively outweighing my need for chickens. Clicking to level the champions is just a nuissance that takes away from quality of life in the game, IMO.
Throughout the day, it's not that much of an issue, but having to swap them for higher level champs overnight just because chickens would be sitting there wasting time is annoying.
