Are there any worth keeping, even if they roll crap or soso? I'm usually hesitant to sell any of these. But when I equip champs I seldom pay attention to this unless they have good stats as well.
I think they're worth keeping. If you have average ones you wouldnt put on your top champs, you can still equip them on some of your specialists.
For example, you can beat Scarab King without a hero wearing a shield set, or casting Shield spell (like Metalshaper or Valerie). To beat him, you can simply equip a blooshield ring on each of your heroes. At least for 1st floor of DT, that works.
Another example, slot in counterattack rings/amulets/banners on your FK specialists, to help bring the shield down a tiny bit faster
