Short of clicking every piece of jewelry in my inventory, is there any way to remove the permanent "just new" red dot that has appeared even though I don't have any just new artifacts?
Remove filter, scroll through, find the offending items, and click them.

Sometimes it just doesn't want to clear, I will have +16 items showing as new... I gave up worrying about red dots long ago. My screen has perpetual chicken pox
Most consistent method I've found is to collapse the sets one by one with the arrows on the right, then expand them again and turn off the new items filter. Usually that takes care of them, sometimes there will be some stragglers that you have to repeat it for.
