It is a crazy-high price, but uh ... lay off the politics there, eh?

sorry, you're right, my bad

Never got any guaranteed champion before the last shard was pulled.

Personally, I won't be pulling for this because I do not have 90 void shards, nor do I particularly want Riho.

That said, it's not a bad deal at all. Even on a 2x weekend, Void shards have only a 1% chance to produce a legendary champ. The odds of you pulling 90 voids on a 2x weekend and getting a legendary champ is 60%. There's 40 void legos, though not all can be pulled from shards. To be generous, let's say you have a 75% chance of getting a useful one. That means your odds of getting a useful lego champ from 90 voids is roughly 45% - pretty much a coin flip.

On the other hand, on this event, you're guaranteed that after 90 pulls, you get Riho. Since it's not 2x, you've also got roughly a 40% chance of getting another lego in the process, and, by the same math above, roughly a 30% chance of getting a useful one.

Personally I would have preferred if the cost were 60, or even 75 - 90 seems on the high end, but this is the first time they've done a guaranteed void lego, so I'm guessing they're erring on the side of caution. If they notice that there isn't enough demand, they'll probably lower the threshold next time.

Riho is worth every one of those shards.

I always feel like these "guaranteed champion" events, apart from the Coldheart one, are way overpriced.  But I guess they're finding buyers, so who am I to judge?

I would say 90 is more than reasonable, I've never accumulated that many (maybe 75 tops) and I can be a hoarder lol.

Krama already has the math locked in.  Its basically a good value for Void shards, and the top tier bargain is in the fact you get Riho, who is absolutely top tier.

F2P seems a difficult place to ever get to 90 shards. And at my point in the game, I am dropping all my voids on an event like we this weekend with the Warlord 10x while I was in Mercy, so there was no way I was ever going to have those number of shards.

i almost always max out mercy before pulling a void lego (220 void shards), so the chance to get a very good void lego at only 90 shards is fantastic imo.

90 voids is a lot of saving... but so is 15 sacreds and i managed to save that for the last event.
And almost have enough for another already.

Gotta give up on those 2x and 10x dreams.

unless they offer some void packs for sale at a non ridiculous price, i will be giving this one a miss.

I don't now how long you guy have been playing, but unless you are powerful enough, you can only rely on free void shards as a F2P.

I started 5 months ago, and I don't think I cumulated more than 20 purple shards so far.

And apart from "Aleksander" that I got for free (and seems to be very poorly rated), I only got one lego so far. From my pov, it seems to be a VERY long road before I can start having a bit of fun.

I understand the game needs to monetize, but retention is also important and the current state requires a LOT of motivation, determination and patience from new players.

Not asking for a fast track, but the one I'm in is wayyyyyyyy too slow.

Downing UNM clanboss took me quite awhile, but that's the point where you start getting a lot more voids/sacreds.  A lot of the end game content makes collecting shards easier, even doom tower gives you a fair amount.

In the beginning, they gotta make the game a challenge still.  In the end, they gotta give people something to do (build random chars from shards).

90 ($1,800) Guaranteed Champion, wow guess I'm not getting Riho. I saw one persons justification with percentages of this and that and if you do a 2X weekend blah blah blah... Come on people... Sure they put out a nice playable game but $1,800 times the number of players falling for this scam is a HUGE payday Papa just scored that Bugatti for whoever. The prices of this game are outrageous. BANNED FOR TELLING THE TRUTH... WOW!!!!!

Since you're referencing me, I suppose I'll respond. I didn't say anywhere anything about spending money. I haven't spent a dime on this game. They may call this game a champion collection game, or an RPG, or whatever - but really, this is a resource management game.

Now that I've seen the benchmark for guaranteed lego from void shards is 90, I fully plan on not spending a single void shard until I cross that threshold. I expect it'll certainly take me a while to reach that level - probably somewhere close to a year. But I'm patient.

Problem with these guaranteed events is that it's possible it will not repeat for the same champion. There's so many and Riho is a top one. So: might be the only way to get it. But 90 ... In the end, it's only a game. You can't sell any of this things.

I am in the middle on this, on the one hand the maths is correct - and it doesnt reset mercy either.

On the other hand, with all the events thrown at us (x10, fusion etc) to drain people of shards plarium know full well that the vast, vast majority of players wont have the shards unless they buy them. That is why the notice given is always non existant or incredibly short, so that people cannot plan.

That is fair enough, they want to monetise the game, they are a business!

But for me personally the shard pricing is ridiculous

The store is offering me 14 void shards at 44.99, so presumeably thinks the 'guaranteed lego' is worth 290

Insane in my mind that one character on a phone game is valued so high, but no-one is forcing us i guess.

You are right, no one is forcing us.

But let's be honest here, it is clearly affecting the motivation of most of us. And trying to sell us a SKIN for 50€/usd?  Come on... I understand this is a business and they need to monetize but this is on the edge of being disrespectful and damaging the trust in the brand.

To me, it only gives the impression that they want to squeeze whales and do not care about anyone else. Now, if I see a "special offer" I instinctively know that they'll try to trick me before I even read the offer. Their marketing is extremely aggressive and I'd be curious to see how many new accounts reach level 50 or keep playing after a week/month.
