Help for a f2p new player

Hello,

I would like some help here I am hesitant between getting my Kael or my Tayrel 6 stars + I have 900 gems so I can use it to buy masteries for one or the other (I read its a good thing to use) I am 4 days so far. I couldnt find any info about it other than Kael falls off later in the game but Tayrel is always used? Should I keep my kael 5 stars or eventually bring him 6 stars + masteries?

Thanks!

They are both good, but for different roles. Kael will be your campaign farmer for a while, so you definitely should get him to 60 first. Tayrel will help in dungeons and possibly in CB as well, but he's a pretty terrible campaign farmer.

Thanks for the tip! So its worth spending 800 gems on both for masteries before starting spending on my mine?

I would 100% do Kael first.  His poison will be a massive source of damage for CB and dragon, and as krama said he will be your campaign farmer.  He can also be your Damage dealer in arena, with Tayrel being your debuffer (which the latter can do at 50)

I would also use the gems for his masteries instead of the gem mine.  In the early stages you will get a lot of gems from missions and challenges, and having tier 6 masteries for Kael will dramatically improve his damage output.  Make sure you give him Warmaster

Your best bet is to use the gems on Kael and get him with decent enough gear to be able to solo farm Brutal 12-3. Once you can do that reliably, you can start working on the food you'll need to bring other champs up to 60.

In a perfect world, you'd run Kael on Minotaur as well, to level other champs while getting them gems, but I don't know if Kael can actually do that reliably. You may need to combo him with someone like Tayrel, especially early on, and just level three others with gems instead of four.

The basic progression path is:

  1. Get a campaign farmer who can solo farm 12-3 quickly (<30 seconds)
  2. Get four other champs to 60, so that you can run Dragon 20
  3. Farm gear in Dragon 20 for about two years, and hold your nose the whole time as you trash garbage stuff waiting for good ones :)

Haha the 3rd one xd

What do you suggest for Kael brutal 12-3 or 12-6 as far as items to aim for?

Youtube guide suggest so many different stuff its hard to follow the savage set seem nice but I am not sure he could survive with that?

Would Kael + apocary + tayrel  +  ???(not yet found) be able to dragon 20?

Yes, those are an excellent 1st 3. 6star those and farm 12.3 (slightly more silver than 12.6). The starter lifesteal gear is probably best for kael for a while. Focus on stats not specific sets.

Agree with Trips on the starter lifesteal gear.  This should essentially be the main gear that Kael will use for a long time, including Dragon, Campaign Brutal, arena and CB.  It should be the 4 star lifesteal set, and the boots should have speed as their primary stat

While you are building food to get additional champions to 60, you can start to build out teams for other areas.  Arena for example can have a well built team where most aren't 60.

For Apoc, make sure you throw as much speed on him as possible.  This includes speed sets, plus any gear that has speed multiplied when you upgrade it.  Anytime you get another gear with speed check to see if it is better than what he has before giving it to others.  Ideally he is going to be the fastest member of your team.

Farm a spirit host from the dark elves campaign stage and keep her to level 30, but you will need to ascend her to level 3.  For arena, put her as your lead for the 10% speed aura, then have Apo, Tayrel and Kael in.  You will want the speeds of each champion to go in the following sequence: Apo (turn meter boost and increase speed), Spirit Host (increase attack), Tayrel (decrease defense) and then Kael (AoE attack).  Kael is the only one that needs to be 60 for this to team to work, and you can start to farm medals and get through some missions.  It should be able to comfortably take you up to mid silver.
