If you like to battle for the experince to build your champions, nightmare isn't worth it. You spend twice the amount of battle energy and only get a little more than 10% the experiwnce. Brutal is your best bet for champion building
Correct sir. Nigthmare is only worth on very rare ocasions if you are in a hurry in an event.
Or if you just reach the cap. Fore example rank1 champions with raid battle will get to level 10 in one nightmare run for 16 energy but in brutal you are missing a tiny bit making it 3 runs for 24 energy or 30 minutes in sparring pit.

The reason people tend to favour brutal 12-3 is because it is faster, easier to gear for, and gives more overall silver.

I think the "value" of green shards, at least for f2p has skyrocketed. I would say farming nightmare is a not a good idea unless you regularly spend real money on shards.
Sure - I wasn't giving a recommendation either in favour or against farming nightmare. I'm simply saying that the OP's statement of nightmare giving less XP per energy is incorrect.
