Actually, on thinking about it - this champ is just silly for arena, and I guarantee something about him is going to get changed/nerfed.

Souldrinker x2 (at level 1) + Gaius (at level 1) + Someone who is super-tough and won't die to the first hit.

Basically insta-win just about any arena fight.

maybe on offense, if you pick your opponents carefully. way too easy to counter to use as your defense team.

regarding the draw, my instinct would be that you would win. as written it seems like he has to be considered dead in order for his passive to trigger, so if he were the last champion on his side then his team would have already lost when the other team gets wiped. but thats mostly just speculation; i could be wrong.

regardless, i needed a fusion event, so this is great news.

He's a counter to stoneskin and swift parry.  Two OP sets.

Hmm.  Don't  think  this  guy  will  really  fit  into  arena  teams,  just  too  much  situationallity.  Overall  one  of  the  lower  tier  fusions  in  my  opinion,  B  or  C  Tier,  unless  his  multipliers  end  up  being  insane,  his  AOE  attack  in  particular.

I just don't see bombs as being a counter to stoneskin yet.  I feel like they need to do something more with those debuffs..

And @kramaswamy.kr, I expect that this passive will work just like the other bomb explosion passives in the game, that he will die, and your team will survive.

Nobody else does what he does, though. His passive specifically reads that he detonates the bombs upon death. So, unless that effect is ignored if he is the last survivor, and thus you lose the fight?

If his death is the trigger for the bomb detonation, and he is the last enemy champ, then when he dies there are no more enemies and you win before the bomb kerplosion finishes!

(Or at least that is how I suspect it will work. If it works the other way, would be surprised, but would make for some crazy builds. I will ask for clarification for you, cause it might matter to people debating going for him. Especially literally one week after the last fusion finishes -_-)

Souldrinker's passive can be made to look a bit like this one. If you kill him and he gets revived and 2 turns later you kill him again and battle ends. I would think the bombs explode, but because the cooldown from 1st death tells them to...

They are very different. Souldrinker just puts bombs when he dies. New guy *detonates* bombs when he dies. That's why there's a question as to how it evaluates. There'll never be a scenario where Souldrinker dying causes any ambiguity.

The news caught me too, cause I spent my saved ancients and voids on the events, and will forever be 15 short on Nari lol

Stoneskin is only going to become more widely used, so there's a reasonable chance you might want Gaius in the near future. :)

When will the Gaius fusion arrive?  Is there a way to prepare ahead of time?

fusion is supposed to start on the 19th. best way to prepare is to srockpile resources in the game and clear your schedule outside it;
