Arena situation causing weird mixing of ecosystems
Preface: Not a rant about the current state of Arena. I know that those go in the mega-thread.
I’m having a very weird experience in this new, wonky Arena ecosystem. For reference I run a Classic Cancer, Ladies Night Speed comp (Siphi/Arbi/Serris/Trunda).
Gold 3 has been a horror show the last week or so because all of the Speed comps from high G4 and G5 have been pushed down into G2 & G3 and theres just way to compete with a better geared Speed comp.
I burned a bunch of gems and ground my way back into Gold IV… and oh my word is it a different ecosystem. Its all of the Go Second, attrition comps from the upper layers of Gold. And its a buffet. I’ve gone from fighting 1 team in a screen of level 90-100 accounts, to smashing through 5-7 teams of 90-100 accounts because they’re all built slow to fight other slow teams. They’ve all been safely out of reach of Speed comps (held down by the layer of other Speed comps in high Gold), so they just aren’t built to deal with them.
I’d never quite realised just how stratified and divided the different ecosystems of Arena were… but this has really hammered it home.
Has anyone else noticed this?
