So to be clear, as this is the first time i see this kind of event. If you happen to get to 80 or 90 or whatever number of fragments, but short of 100, of course you cant summon the champion, but will those fragments ever be useful in the future?

In other words, if i think i cant get to 100, should i even bother even getting any of those fragments?

Historically there have been "Shard Top Up" Events, where you can earn up to 25 shards you have missed. It is difficult to get all 25, and usually someone getting 15 more is more realistic.

The events are usually held around Halloween, and have happened the last two years.

Yeah ive been too focused on aiding my dt team i barely got any of the frags thus far lol. Too bad. I'll try my best to not miss the next one.

@Swiftblade, If you are pay, there is also the possibility that they will sell you the fragments you need.  They are ludicrously priced, I think like $50 US per 10 frags, and they always offer exactly what you need.

@everyone, Am I mistaken that previously the top 3 places in torunys were awarded 5 fragments?  I noticed that only the top 2 spots get the bonuses and for some reason I'm thinking it was the top 3 spots previously.

It has always been top 2, as far as I know.

ohh goody.... another gamebreakingly powerful champ only the whales can get.  keep it up with the power creep and you'll only have whales playing.  you guys can sit back and count your stacks of cash while the 3 remaining whales slap each other with their credit cards.... /sigh.  sick of these shortsighted game developers

This champ is certainly not gamebreakingly powerful. Not anywhere close.

In fact, rather than killing myself to finish the fusion, I skipped it. And I'm not one to skip fusions.
