Also it cost me all the 5 star glyphs I had. No wonder people are so mad or quit the game. This needs to be fixed.

If you are trying to upgrade a stat that has already had a glyph applied, then it's not automatic.  You have 'a chance' to improve on the current upgrade, but you still have to roll higher than that current upgrade.

I get that, but today I was lucky enough to earn 12 glyphs from the Fraction Wars. 10 (TEN) out of 12 did not work out, sorry but the chance should be at least a little better than that....

As far as I understand, the chance from a glyph that gives 1-6 speed is the same as from a dice. If you have only 1 speed from glyphs so far, 5/6 chance to get an improvement. If you have allready 5 speed from glyphs, 1/6 chance to get an improvement.

The only thing I'll add to Skadi's comment is that not all possible values will actually be possible. Flat stat provides the best example - the range of values is in the hundreds, but there are still only a handful of actual combinations at play.
