Means they boosted the champ by feeding either a dupe, or, in certain cases (like with Lydia) a dupe surrogate. Each level boosts stats to a certain amount, and adds more boosts. Fully boosted, you get the following bonuses:

That being said, I *strongly* recommend you do NOT use the empowerment system. I can virtually guarantee that anyone you might be considering using would be a mistake.

Hold on can someone elaborate. Is this just a flat boost that is not temporary? Whats the catch? How does it work. Also why is someone saying that you shouldnt do this when it sounds OP. There has to be a catch to this right?

That is the explanation followed by the permanent stat boosts champions get from empowerment. 

As for why to not always use your duplicates for empowerment, I can think of a few good reasons/scenarios but I'll let kramas take that one.

Holy shit, theres alot of things. Sadly, I sent a few "useless" leggos into the meatgrinder before quitting a few years ago so no luck there. Could put up a few guardians though. Think I have ruined a few setups there since I maxed like 3 champs in 3 days. Silly me.

I didn't say that *nobody* should use empowerment. I said the OP should not, because unfortuately OP has a history of making incorrect assessments and decisions.

The "catch" is that empowering a champ requires you to sacrifice the duplicate. Instead, you can use the guardian hall to put the dupe to empower *all* champs of that faction and rarity. You won't get the same degree of bonus, but you also won't lose a champ in the process.

Thanks for the reply, I don't read the news cuz it rarely ever matters, but I do try using the sparring pit from time to time. Nowhere near using empowerment system.

All I said was - I strongly recommend you don't feed dupe legos into empowering others. And I emphasised it because I wanted to ... emphasise it.
