I'm not sure, but it doesn't really seem like it's sarcasm.

I pretty much ignore these events/tourneys just b/c I do not have time to think about it with all the other content. But that doesn't mean a lot of people don't really enjoy them.  I can imagine for those that have completed most content and everything is on autopilot, these might be a fun challenge.

it is a chance for newer people to place in a touney as like you most vet ignore these 😀.

Everything doesn't have to be done at 20+ to place especially in these events.

Both valid points. I was just judging from the OP statements, that the prizes and rewards were good. I agree that for newer players they might help them, personally I thought the energy needed for the milestones would not have been used efficiently. 

easy prizes, i think only 11 people in my bracket had a score, and only 2 or 3 *actually* tried to put up some points.

I wish I had your brackets. IDK what happened for mine, I logged in, looked at the scores, and went NOPE. Maybe I pushed too hard on some of the tourneys during the Chimera fusion, and now I'm back in the super competitive brackets for a bit.

Maybe time to take a few tourneys off for a while.

Some of these are worthwhile. This one? Not a chance.

You might be able to get the rewards, but unless you're super-endgame, its unlikely you'll have a team that can farm Spider 20+ with only rares. And if you're running Spider 13 with rares just for this tournament, you're wasting a ton of energy to get very mediocre returns.

This is the issue. If you have to push even a little bit for the relentless, the lack of decent accessory rewards outweight the benefit of top 4 on a tourney.

sometimes it is not about the rewards, sometimes it is about ego as never being able to place kind of sucks 😜

I still don't understand why we got precisely one good version of these tournaments (unless I'm remembering incorrectly) in the last year, since they started up.

I skipped the rares only spider event.  I didnt think it was really worth the bother for me as im farming spider already.

Nah they come up around once a month or so. I generally don't bother because with the exception of IG, the other dungeons tend to require teams that I can't easily run specific factions for.

Ah, I meant the top heavy rewards. :) Would make it worth the effort. 

in terms of the placement rewards, true. the milestone rewards generally fall into one of two categories. the first type, like the most recent ice golem tournament, have equal or higher point thresholds to the standard tournaments, but much better rewards, typically ending with a void shard for the last milestone. the second, like the titular spider tournament, offer a reward set thats practically identical to a standard tournament (they are better, but only by a small margin) at a lower point threshold.

conceptually, i love the specific tournaments. i think they add a new and interesting level to the game and trying to build a team within the specific parameters is both a fun challenge and can potentially help come up with new ways to use champions outside of them. that said, without the better tier of rewards, i find it's usually not worth the bother.

I saw that the rewards are crap. But, why do players look at these like it is difficult to do all rares? This is actually much easier than limited to specific factions. Even my old clan mates think this is too difficult while I find it easy.

I did this on manual since I am too lazy to set ai preset, so I guess this run can be much faster. Warmaiden is not ideal here because of affinity issues, but any other decrease def champion will do.

I am guessing the tournament is over so this will not help anyone anymore lol.
