Did Plarium need to change market system?

I really don't understand market role in the game :(

I am buying just green shards and ocasionally ( I understood that not more than 5 times/month blue shards)

In rest market is provinding only craps items ( what can i do with 3-4* gears pieces with poor atributes that are 100 times worst that the ones I sell ?)

I consider that Plarium should change the market offers - to provide some things that players really can use in the game !!

On the other hand , I really hope that Plarium wont screw it up and remove green/blue shards from the market ( is their usual way of doing things)

It's an avenue for early-game players to jumpstart their champs. Not everything needs to have a late-game purpose.

It would be nice if it scaled a bit, perhaps adding a few more ancients depending where you are in the game. But overall I agree with kramas.

Still i dont get it- why to be just for early game players?

Why they cant add some more stuff on the market?

Why to have something for players up to max level 30 i think???

I know some will yell at me here, but if we are considering the early game player. Then allow  one slot of market for brew or basic potions to be purchased with silver

The market spawns blue shards occasionally--I think 5/month maximum.  It's worth buying green shards and 2-star champs (food).  Most of the equipment is poopies, but every once in a while there's something in there worth having.

Like, I got 5-star legendary retaliation boots (primary stat: speed) a couple days ago.  That kind of thing only shows up once in a thousand millennia, though.

You're probably not 6-starring champions consecutively, otherwise you would not write this. 2-star champions are the most valuable offer in the market aside from ancients. To demonstrate their value, a quick calculation.

Let's assume you have lvl30 and 40 food ready. To make one 4* chicken, you either level 3 green champs for 80 energy and then rank them with 6 more green champs; if you bought them it's 80 energy per 4* chicken. Or, if you have to make them from grey 1* champs you're doing 3 runs for 24 energy to get them to level 10 and rank; then spend 80 energy to get them to level 20; then do another 2 x 24 energy to make 6 lvl 10 grey champs and rank them. That's 152 energy compared to 80. Now, to get 5 5* chickens you need 20 4* chickens. Difference is 1600 energy vs. 3040 energy = 1440 energy or 11 refills or 440 gems. To this you can add the food you need to make lvl. 30 and 40 if you are not using rares.

And yes you can get 2* champions from green shards but 1. those are better used in summon events 2. if you're actively 6-starring champions you'll run out of them pretty quick. So, my advice is: refresh your market and buyout all green champions (and shards ofc), even if currently you're not leveling anything, it will save you a ton of resources in the future.

Also, considering the prices, you'd have to pay 1M+ silver for a 6* grey piece of gear.

I will go 1 step further  in my idea of allowing  1 slot  of marketplace to have either a brew or  basic potion and add this....

Up to 2 rare  books  may appear per  month in that slot (much like ancient shards do)

Hi guys. The market does need a bit of love. We are looking into improving it, but it will take time, as right now we are focused on the new content and other features.

I like the idea of more ancients depending on where you are at in the game.

I know Plarium is busy with their Hydra and other UI change stuff, but I will make this suggestion.

I would say 0% chance they add more ancients to market.  The pattern is adding rewards for activity/engagement  (CvC, clan quest, tag, DT, ...) and lessening rewards for doing nothing (daily login).  From a business sense this is smart.  People bitch about the changes, but all the changes have resulted in a net positive month over month in gems/shards/books/energy.... IF YOU PLAY THE GAME.

That is certainly the pattern. There are more things to do, and it iseasier than ever before to be F2P, but it definitely requires engagement and time.

I don't care if they add rare books. But it speaks to the OP's comment that market is already for new-mid game players and almost zero end-game content.  Rare books are practically as usless as all the equip available in market to end game players.  I don't even consider myself endgame and I have around 160 rare books, every rare I care about fully booked.
