I had 3 void shards and spent 50 for 16 more , total 19 voids . used them and end up with 18 rares and the guaranteed epic . what a waste of money , i can use acient shards for rares .
Not a mistake, just bad luck.
Even with x2 events your chance of pulling an epic per shard is only 16% and a legendary is 1%.
I'm in the same boat, I pulled a bit more than you and got a second epic for the weekend. The rest were blue.
Just bad RNG for you. Mine all seem to come in waves.
I pulled 15 today and got 5 epics: skytouched, skullcrusher, skimfos, tuhak, and ursala.
During other 2x events I've pulled 15 and gotten all blue chickens.

Generally speaking yeah, its better to form up a good Clan boss team and farm void and sacred shards from there for free.
