Campaign mission / chestplate

I saw two posts on this from a year ago but no answers were given.   The mission to get a chestplate with atk as primary stat from Stage 5 of Sewers of Antioc isn't working.  I've had several plates drop with the right stat but the mission never shows as completed.

I'm fairly new to this game so I could be misunderstanding something.  Below is the item that dropped.  Does it not meet the requirement somehow?

You sure it doesn't say attack % in the mission description? I don't remember a mission for getting a flat attack bonus, but I could be mistaken.

Also would like to add, I initially thought about doing this is as a bug report, but I am unable to locate where to do that.  The instructions say create a ticket in the Bug Report category.  Where does one create a ticket, exactly?

read the task carefully: does it ask for a certain number of stars?

is it asking for ATK%, not just plain ATK?

Did it ask for a certain level like normal or hard or brutal?

Well like I said, it could be that i don't understand what is required.   It does say attack % but I don't know how that's different than what I have above, can you explain please?

Win a chestplate with ATK(%) as the primary stat from clearing Stage 5 of the Sweers of Arnoc on Normal.

That is the complete text.

Some stat bonuses have both a flat and a percentage value. The chestplate you showed has a flat primary stat bonus, but what the mission wants is a percentage primary stat bonus. The difference between them is basically that a percentage bonus gives you an increase based on your champion's base stat multiplied by the bonus, while a flat bonus is just added directly no matter what the base stats are.

Gauntlets, chestplates and boots can have both flat and percentage bonuses, while weapons, helmets and shields are locked to flat bonuses. Precentage is generally better except in some very rare cases where champions have very low base stats.

ATK is a linear number like 5.

ATK% is based on a % of the base stat, like say your base atk is 500 then 5% would be 25, and just Atk=5 is simply 5.  ATK% is usually more than just atk.

Ok thanks for that explanation.

So how many times do you have to fight this same level to actually get one with %?   I have done it about 50 times now and no luck.  Same issue with another "quest" to get a 3* weapon from stage 1 of this same sewer.   I did it at least 80-90 times and never got better than 2*.   Tried different random combinations of champions but nothing seemed to make any difference.  Is there some trick to it?  Because otherwise these quests/missions just seem like a stupid waste of time which I've about had enough of.

No trick, just luck. You just have to keep trying, unfortunately.

atk, def, hp are called "flat stats" and are less desirable but they are one of many choices (16?) of stats you might pull from the campaign levels.

yes it is tedious to get the one you want, that is why they call it grinding

If you check the menu to your left you should see "Guides and Tutorials", under that you can check out "artifact overview"

16? There are 11 different stat bonuses total. A chestplate can have 8 of those for its primary.

Tedious is an understatement.  A game where you are supposed to hit a button and do the same thing hundreds of times to maybe get some item is not a grind, it's just dull.   I can appreciate difficult quests where it requires skill, more time/items, etc., tasks where you can actually eventually accomplish something.  But this is just blind luck or lack thereof.  It's plain stupid.

Let me revise that, it's bad game design.

Your best bet is to do it while leveling champions. You'll be doing that a lot anyway. It's not the most optimal use of energy for leveling, but might as well take care of that mission while you do it.

I was trying to do it from memory so I put the question mark cuz I was not sure, but really each one of those 11 stats can come with 1,2,3,4,5,6 stars so the number of possibilities is different and larger depending on what you are trying for.

Yeah it is a mess, not really a fun game in many ways.

It's 12-26-2022. This bug still exists. I have played this mission dozens of times and dopped dozens of chestplates with Att champions equiped with nothing but Att% artifacts and it's not letting me pass. It's frustrating. It's another level up only game, no real point to it as the story lines don't matter since the action is always the same. I'm deleting the game.

The stat required is attack % but I have to admit. I wasted over 2000 energy on what is clearly a cash trap to actually complete it. Didnt spend any cash though but this one mission took me 7 whole days to complete and it's infuriating. Drop rate for itmust be 0.01%
